APPLICATION :
For use in aerial, conduit and
underground duct installation.
CLASSIFICATION :
5 to 35 kV rating sunlight resistance,
AC and DC, 100% IL and 133% IL,
maximum conductor temperature
90C for normal operation, 130C for
emergency overload condition and
250C for short circuit condition.
REFERENCE STANDARD :
UL 1072
CONSTRUCTION :
Stranded bare copper : Compact-stranded annealed uncoated copper.
per ASTM B-496 and UL 1072
Extruded semi-conducting strand shield : Extruded semi-conducting cross-linked
polyethylene compound.
Insulation : Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE).
Extruded semi-conducting insulation shield : Extruded semi-conducting cross-linked
polyethylene compound.
Bare copper wire shield : Uncoated helically applied copper wires.
Tape separator : Polyester non-woven tape
Sunlight resistant PVC sheath : Extruded PVC sheath " Sunlight resistant".
Note : When desired for manufacturing reasons, the semi-conducting tape may be applied over stranded bare copper conductor.
