Discipline

1. Attendance is compulsory for all tests examinations, lectures, tutorials, seminar,


guest lectures etc. The attendance and performance of the students in the
tutorials, seminars, classes and guest lectures, examination will be taken into
consideration while granting their terms and deciding their eligibility for the final
examination. Attendance 85% is compulsory.

2. Conduct of the students in their classes as well as in the premises of the Institute shall
be such as will cause no disturbance to fellow students or to other classes.

3. Students should abstain from loitering or not congregate in the corridors while the
classes are in progress.
4. Students shall behave in such manner either inside or outside the institute, which will not
in any way interfere with its orderly administration and discipline.
5. Students must take proper care of the Institute Property and help in keeping the
premises neat and clean. Any damage done to the property of the institute will be
recovered from the student concerned.
6. In the name or premises of the Institute, no society, association, organization, etc.
shall be formed, no collection be made, no tickets be sold, no function or meeting be
held, no person be invited tb address students, no social be arranged nor anything be
printed and / or circulated without the written permission of the Director. No notice shall
be put up on the notice boards not announcement be made without he Director's written
permission.
7. Students should in their own interest, read the notices, including the notice containing the
rules placed on the notice board from time to time.

8. Every association / council / club / organization etc. formed under the auspices of the
Institute is in the charge of a Faculty Member nominated by the Director. Students shall
submit all the relevant notices, applications etc. only through the Faculty concerned.

9. All meetings, functions, programmes, social, picnics etc. of all the authorized
and duly constituted associations, societies councils etc. of the Institute must be
organized I conducted under the supervision and control of the Director. Agenda,
subjects of debates and lectures, as the case may be, must have the previous approval of
the Director. Similarly, the matter published in the Institute Magazine and institute Wall
Paper must have the previous approval of the Director.

10. Students must not engage themselves in active political work in the Institute
Premises.
11. If, for any reason, the continuance of a student in the Institute is, in the opinion of the
Director, detrimental to the best interests or discipline of the Institute, he may direct such
student to leave the Institute. The decision of the Director shall be final and will bind the
student concerned.
12. Students joining the institute are required to abide by all the Rules, Regulations and
instructions that may be issued by the institute authorities from time to time and to
submit to the normal enforcement of the same to the satisfaction of the Institute
authorities,, whose decision in all matters shall be final and the same shall not be
called in question on any ground whatsoever.
13. All the departments of the Institute (Computer Center, Library) etc. will work according to
rules made in that behalf from time to time.

14. No excursion, picnics or tours can be arranged without previous permission


of the Director. The permission may be granted, if an application in the
prescribed form is submitted by the students to the Director through the members
of the staff accompanying the student: at least one week prior to the scheduled
date. The party will not ordinarily consist of more than 40 members and must be
accompanied by at least two members of the staff and one lady member of the staff, if
lady students also join the party. The members will have to give an undertaking that
they will behave properly and obey all instructions of the staff members in charge
and that the students joining picnics shall return home before 8.30 p.m. on the same
day. The institute will not be held responsible for any untoward incident that may
happen on an excursion, a picnic or a tour. When an application for permission is
submitted, it will be presumed that the students have taken previous permission
from the parents / guardians to join the party.

15. Ragging is strictly prohibited, In case the applicant for admission is found to have
indulged on ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he has indulged in
ragging admission may be refused or he shall be expelled from the educational
institution.
16. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the premises of the Institute.

17. Students are expected to carry their Identity Cards with them while they are in the
Institute.
18. The Students will have to sign an undertaking that he / she would abide by the discipline
of the Institute and shall recognize, the disciplinary jurisdiction of the Director. This
would be counter signed by the guardians.
