Fault Entry Segment Table

FAULT

CAUSE

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
-

F01

Compressor relay sticking

Check for water leaks that may affect connector E1 causing the relative contacts
to short.
Check motor terminal board (possible problems due to incorrect connection
which may cause short-circuits).
Replace motor
Replace PCB.

F02

Compressor relay open

Check efficiency of contacts on connector E1 on PCB.

Check that the impedance value read on wiring connector E1 between pins 9
and 10 is compatible with the value given in the relevant table.
Check that the compressor is not in temperature timeout (thermal cutout open).
Replace motor
Replace PCB

F03

Faulty power PCB

Replace PCB

Check efficiency of contacts on connector E1 on PCB.

Check for impedance on wiring connector E1 pins 1 and 8, and that the impedance value read is compatible with the value given in the relevant table.
Check correct connection of the freezer fan at the freezer compartment junction
box.
Replace freezer fan unit.
Replace PCB.

Check efficiency of E2 connector contacts on the PCB.

Replace electronic damper.

Replace PCB.

Check efficiency of contacts on connector E1 on PCB.

Check state by checking for impedance on cable connector E1 pins 2 and 6.

Triac operating defrost heater - Check defrost heater element connections and possible short circuits at the
freezer compartment junction box.
element
-

Replace heating element.

Replace PCB

Check efficiency of contacts on connector E1 on PCB.

Check for continuity of the defrost heating element on connector E1 pins 2 and
6, ensuring that the impedance value read is compatible with the value given
in the relevant table.
Check for correct connection of the defrost heater element and the drip tray
heater element at the freezer compartment junction box.
Check for correct resistance value on defrost heater element, measured across
the terminals of the element.
Check that the fuses have not blown.
Replace the defrost heater element.
Replace PCB.

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
-

Replace main PCB.

Check efficiency of contacts on PCB connector E3.

Check NTC probe, ensuring that the impedance value read on wiring connector
E3 pins 3 and 4 is compatible with the values in the temperature-impedance
correlation table (also heat the probe by touching it where possible with your
hand and checking the change in the impedance value).
Replace main PCB.
