King Frederick William III of Prussia
had every good intention when he
assumed the Prussian throne in 1897.
After seeing the financial debt the
country was in, he promptly fired
longtime advisors, slashed the
country's spending, and ordered a stay
of the Prussian army. But despite his
moves, Prussia seemed to fall further
into debt. Through wars, uncontrolled
spending, and unsuccessful financial
investments, King Frederick's country
faced financial ruin. Too proud to
admit bankruptcy or to seek help from
other countries, King Frederick
thought of a way to generate revenue.
After much thought, he devised a plan.
He decided to be honest with the
Prussian people, and presented the
need for gold in the kingdom for
financial purposes. He encouraged the
women to bring their gold jewelry to
the government to aide in the
rebuilding of their country.
Surprisingly, the women responded
enthusiastically, and an
overwhelming supply of gold was
brought to the king. In return for
their sacrifice, each woman was
given a bronze or iron decoration
which stated, "I gave gold for iron,
1813." As a result of the movement,
Prussian society soon felt the
wearing of gold to be a display of
unpatriotic feelings, and the Order of
the Iron Cross was soon established.
True love sacrifices the best when it
counts most. God loved the entire
world, yet rather than simply telling
the world He loved them, God
showed it by sacrificing the greatest
thing He had-His only Son.
God loved enough to give His all.
Can that be said of you? You may
not be required to sacrifice a child,
but God's love deserves a sacrifice
from you. God wants you to give Him
your life.

program of our church. Soul
winning will begin on Saturday,
March 27, at 10:30 AM. Childcare
is available.
Soul winning starts with a brief
organizational meeting and then
adults are paired up to go soul
winning until Noon.
Please show respect by turning off all electronic devices (PDA’s, cell phones) and refrain from text messaging during the church services.

Where Will I Spend Eternity?
Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question.
Our Dilemma:
We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before
our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have
disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10,
23).
Our Inability:
We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be
received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour
(Ephesians 2:8-9).
Our Saviour:
Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son,
Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived without
sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour
(Romans 5:8; John 3:16).
Our Response:
Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response
on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge
their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as God’s
children (Romans 10:9, 13).
At the conclusion of our Sunday services, people are invited
to trust Christ as Saviour. Individuals will be dealt with by
Christians trained in the Bible. Your questions will be
addressed patiently and privately.
Our Pastor is willing to set-up an appointment with you to
answer your questions regarding this most important subject.
