drum cartridge for Brother HL-720, MFC-4800, HL-1040 and
equivalent models a total of 50 machines! Our fully tested
Odyssey drum, gears, and universal drum axle enable you to
reduce empties and finished-good inventory and build a
universal DR-200/300/8000 drum cartridge.

With 12 OEM variations of these Brother empties in the
market, you will encounter gear mismatches if you do not have
the correct drum gear, drum drive train gear, transfer roller gear
and drum axle varieties on hand when you begin building your
universal cartridges.

Statics correctly matched gears prevent chatter, thereby eliminating audible clicking and potential
print defects. Our Odyssey drum with helical gear and matching drive train gear for the
DR-200/300/8000 work in any of the 12 OEM drum unit variations and achieve OEM page yield
with OEM-like performance. Some variants of the DR-300 and DR-8000 empties will also require
Static Controls narrow or wide helical transfer roller gear.
Universal Drum Axle Completes the Picture
You will encounter cartridge-fit problems when using a DR-200 empty to build a universal drum
cartridge. Since the DR-200 axle is longer than the DR-300/8000 axles, the finished cartridge will
not fit into all the printers. Our universal drum axle solves this problem so that your finished
DR-200, DR-300, or DR-8000 drum cartridge fits properly in the printer.
