The Study of the educational

implication of Rortys Social Hope
Fang-Sen Li
Abstract
This study is to find out the implementation of Rortys philosophical thoughts.
Rortys critique of traditional philosophy and meta-physics which derived from Plato,
those are often named as Philosophy and Truth. Rorty suggests current philosophers
should distinguish philosophy from Philosophy, and truth from Truth.
In the process of opposing traditional philosophy, Rorty claims to give up
meta-physics, and places freedom and contingency to the top. Under the concept of
democracy priority to philosophy, social hope awakens people up, and it connects
democratic education with human-right education. Thus, both the ironic and the
democratic improve the freedom and openness of this society.
Keywords: Truth, social hope, pragmatism
