“Hydrocarbon” Cleaning Technology – Oil handling 2
Option: Continuous oil discharge

§ Full distillation – during stand by (needed Time: 3 to 5 hours)

§ Continuous oil discharge – recommended for continuous shift
operation and high oil input in the machine (1.5 gal/h)

Waste Oil Waste Oil

Barrel Barrel
Waste oil contains between 10 and 20 % of the cleaning fluid

“Hydrocarbon” Cleaning Technology –
Filtration (handling of solids and chips)
Cartridge filters: Cyclone
very fine filter system for low input à effective system for high chip input
à mainly 2nd flood tank à only 1st flood tank
5 cartridge filter inlets are available, § separation down to 30µm (step less)
cut off: 25µm and 5µm § chip collecting basket for 60l (16 gal)

of chips

“Hydrocarbon” Cleaning Technology –
Option working chamber - Ultrasonics
Problem:
Contamination with high affection to parts = grit, paste, metal
powder, fine chips
Solution: Ultrasonic (10 or 20W/l)

How does it work?

§Ultrasonic effect local implosions of gas-bubbles on parts
§ Implosions cause a pressure surge = micro-jet
§ Contamination is pushed off the parts by micro-jets

Note: Can only be effective, if micro-jets reach parts = “open” baskets; easy to retrofit
