Abstract :Lexical processing is affected by many factors.In this paper , we report an investigation made on a group of foreign students without Chinese character based cultural background to study the factors that affect their Chinese lexical recognition.We analyze the characteristics of their Chinese lexical recognition and propose some principles in lexical teaching for
foreigners .
