LESSON STAGES
ACTIVITY 1: WARM UP
Aim:
to get students ready for the English class by having an informal conversation
(greetings, teachers presentation, How are you?)
PROCEDURE
Teacher greets Students, presents herself
and asks them how they are. Pupils respond
to informal question.

ACTIVITY 2: HOMEWORK CHECK-UP


Aim:
to check whether the students have accomplished their task.
PROCEDURE
INTERACTION
Teacher asks Have you done your
homework?, Was it difficult?, Who wants to
read? and then names a few students to read
their homework and asks the others to check

and correct if necessary. Students respond
individually. Teacher involves all the class.
Homework is checked.

ACTIVITY 3 : TRANSITION TO THE NEW LESSON


Aims:
raise awareness of the meaning of new words
develop vocabulary skills related to the body
prepare Ss for the activity
PROCEDURE
- the teacher gradually shows some images to
the students
- the teacher elicit answers from the students
- the students must recognize what the
images represent

Aims:
Ss are asked to solve the exercices
introduce Ss to the new vocabulary
develop skills needed to answer this type of exercises
PROCEDURE
- the teacher asks one of the students to
come in the front of the class and ask
questions from exercice 2. The student writes
the numbers on the board
- the students read the statistics on lefthandedness
-the teacher asks if it is representative for the
class
-the teacher asks the students to do exercice
3 and 4

Aims:
revision of modals
better understanting of using the modals
give Ss the chance to practice listening
PROCEDURE
- the T draws a chart on the board. Ss come
and fill in the chart
- Ss listen to few fragments of songs and
answer 2 questions previously written by the
teacher on the board
- Ss do exercice 7 oral
-Ss receive a worksheet and solve the task

Teacher says goodbye to the students and thanks them for their attention.
