Lawyers for Human Rights (LHR) is a dynamic human rights organisation with a long track-record
of human rights activism and public interest litigation in South Africa. We offer human rights
lawyers an exciting and challenging work environment covering a wide range of social justice
issues, including refugee and migrant rights, mental health, land reform and housing, child rights,
prison reform, environmental justice and constitutional litigation.

Candidate Attorneys
LHR seeks to employ self-motivated law graduates with an interest in human rights litigation
and good practice management to apply for candidate attorney positions in Johannesburg and
Pretoria. The programme is an opportunity to gain valuable practice exposure under the guidance
of skilled human rights lawyers. LHR offers a dynamic but challenging articling experience for
self-motivated and energetic individuals.
