A Quick Look at the Career of Stephen Racik from Florida

Stephen Racik is a Florida based professional who is proficient in enterprise


computing service, support, and applications infrastructure. He has good
knowledge of Windows NT Server; Intel based server hardware and RAID
storage systems, and in-depth understanding of data communications protocol.
Besides this, Stephen has creative problem solving skills and is self motivated
has the ability to work alone as well as a part of a team.
He holds years of experience in Onsale site operations, technical support (both
remote and field level) and technical report marketing. He commenced his career
with CompuScan, Inc. He joined this company as a Field Service Engineer in
June 1978. Owing to his dedication towards work, he was promoted to West
Coast Manager Field Operations. This resulted in revising his responsibilities to

supervising four field service engineers in office.
In 1984, he joined TeleVideo Systems, Inc. as Technical Support Specialist. In
June 1986, he was promoted as OEM Account Manager and became responsible
for RFQs pricing, contract negotiation, configuration, forecasting and delivery
schedules. In June 1988, Stephen Racik of Florida earned promotion to
Director OEM Product Marketing.
In 1989, he started working with Sigma Designs for the same position. He was
responsible for managing a group of product lines, principally OEM that made up
40% of the company revenues for 4 uninterrupted years. He created, produced,
marketed, sold and supported a line of Intel PCs with bundled Microsoft software,
using 486/386 passive-backplane motherboards with integrated memory, cache,
I/O, video, and disk drive controller. He also created a no-name line of VGA
adapters with no-name BIOS, documentation and data sheets.
Stephen served Amdahl as a Business Manager - Customer Service from 19941996. He implemented an internal Intranet website, improving internal
department communications. Besides this he also changed the standard of the
company for assigning warranty reserves to Customer Services and brought
$75000, using the new standard on the first transaction.
From 1994 to 2001, Stephen Racik of Florida worked with Egghead.com as a
Director of Site Operations Menlo Park. He ran a 24 by 7 e-commerce site
comprised of 100 NT servers on the Intel platform running a variety of
applications. These included BackupExec, DoubleTake, Exchange, IIS, GenTran
Server, HP OpenView, Marimba, NetGenesis, NetGravity, NetIQ, Network Ice, NT
Server, NT Workstation, Oracle, PCAnywhere, SQL, Terminal Server, Visual
SourceSafe, XIOtech, and a large variety of Egghead.com proprietary Site and
Auction management applications.
