Year 6 Class Bulletin
Spring Term Feb 2010

Dear Parents / Carers,

Welcome to another busy term! This term we will be focusing very much on
improving our Literacy, Numeracy and Scientific skills alongside some
quality PE, RE, Spanish and Geography. As many of you may know, we now
have 6 weeks to complete the curriculum for the core subjects which will
take us up to half term, in order to carry out a 3 week revision course
before SATS next term. For this reason I shall be working the children
harder than ever, to ensure that they progress and fulfil their full
potential!

Events to look out for this term:

• SAY YOUTH in on Thursday 25th to complete a poetry/PSHCE workshop (1.30-
3.30)
• March 1st -5th Book Week
• March 12th Fisa's Mothers Day Event 3-4pm
• March 15th -19th National Science and Engineering Week
• Thursday 18th March I will be taking the children to St Martins In The Fields
Secondary school to take part in a Science workshop called CHEMICAL
CHANGES, which will coincide with SCIENCE WEEK
• March 19th Sport Relief
• March 31st Easter Service
• April 1st Last Day of Term

**Can I just take this opportunity to reiterate to you that the most important thing you can do at
home for your children is make sure they complete their homework, make sure they are reading
age appropriate novels and that they know their multiplications and number bonds inside out!
This makes a huge difference to what they can achieve at school**
I hope that the children continue to be hard working and happy, and
please don’t hesitate to pop in if you have any questions
