Nautical Notes

The purpose of Lake Murray Elementary School is to educate, empower and


encourage students in a safe and nurturing environment.

Picture Day
Fall Pictures will be
taken on Thursday,
October 1st. Be sure
to wear your best
smile!

Transportation
Arrival
Students are allowed to enter the
building at 7:05 am. School begins
at 7:35 am, and the tardy bell rings
at 7:40 am. Students must be in
their classroom when the tardy bell
rings to be counted present.

Dismissal
If your child has a change in
transportation, please send a note
to your childs teacher. Please do
not email transportation changes.
If our server is down or the office is
busy, the change may not be
received in time for dismissal.
Please note that as we continue to
make
refinements,
there may be
changes to bus
numbers. This will be
communicated to parents via the
Transportation Office.

Grandparents Day

Year in Review

LMES will be hosting Grandparents


Day on Friday, September 18th.
Grade levels will host grandparents
at the following times:
2nd & 3rd grades: 8:00 8:40 am
Kindergarten & 1st: 8:45 9:25 am
4th grade: 9:3010:10 am

Fun Fitness
Fun Fitness begins September 21st.
Students who
arrive prior to
7:30 am are
eligible to
participate.
Students take their bookbags to the
gym until 7:30 am.

3rd Grade - Wednesdays
4th Grade - Fridays

Inside Out
Communication

September 2015

This year, our guidance counselors


have an INSIDE OUT focus.
Students will participate in service
projects that benefit students
INSIDE our school, as well as
OUTSIDE in our community. The
Thursday before service projects,
students are asked to wear their
clothes inside out. The first INSIDE
OUT date is September 3.

Looking Ahead
October

Parent-Teacher Conferences
will be held in October.
Teachers will be contacting
parents to set up a time to
meet.

Mentoring
Interested in serving as a mentor to
an LMES student? If so, contact
Kelly Reese at kreese@lexrich5.org.
Mentors meet with their mentee
once a week for 30 minutes.
