"They were Good Samaritans and they said na, 'Bago lumala ang mga lumalabas sa
diyaryo, it's better siguro na magharap-harap kayo. Para you can really talk and you
can see kung sino talaga ang nagpapadala ng mga nasty messages.' Hindi lang pala
ako ang nakakatanggap. Nakakatanggap din pala siya [Shaina]," said Ruffa in an
interview after the exclusive grand opening of Century Properties's Azure showroom
at the Pacific Star Building in Makati City earlier today, March 2.
Ruffa related that Shaina was initially hesitant to see her. "In the beginning, I heard
that she's afraid. Sabi ko, 'I won't bite naman,'" she said.
When everyone felt at ease with each other, Ruffa said, "We really had a nice, calm
talk. Marami kaming bagay na napag-usapan. Maraming naliwanagan. But siguro
'yong details, hindi na lang siguro ako magsasalita about what really went on in that
room. Kasi, siyempre, private na 'yon. Ang importante, walang problema, and
there's no reason for us to have any conflict or whatsoever. Like I said, I'm
fabulously single."
Although Ruffa chose not to go into the details of that meeting, she stated its
purpose: "To make it clear na hindi sa amin nanggagaling 'yong mga messages na
pinapadala sa kanya. At hindi rin sa kanila nanggagaling ang mga ipinapadala sa
amin. So, I guess there was a third party involved na who's trying to create intriga."
"Ang naging malinaw ay may gumagawa lang ng intriga sa amin. May gumagawa
ng text messages na talagang very nasty, very explicit na... You know, we just have
to be aware that in this industry, in this world talaga, there are people who wanna
hurt others, others to feel bad, and create some intrigues."
Apparently, Ruffa wants to forget about the issue and move on. She told the media,
"It doesn't really matter if I thought initially it came from her. Ang importante, I
found out in the end that it wasn't her. 'Yon 'yong maganda, 'yong result, di ba? So,
ayun, tapos na, wala naman talagang issue, e."
Ruffa simply stated, "Well, they'll still be able to watch me on The Buzz. Regarding
offers from different stations, siguro in due time malalaman n'yo rin ang desisyon
ko tungkol doon. Ayaw ko munang magsalita tungkol doon. Like I said, in due time."
When asked if the intrigues that she recently faced had something to do with this
rumor, Ruffa replied, "I'm already used to intrigues. I'm already in the business
since I was 13. So, for me, these silly intrigues are nothing. I already experienced
real life and real problems. So, para sa akin, these are so petty talaga. You know,
for me, I'm just happy. I'm very content with my life."
In a separate interview, Ruffa's mother and talent manager Annabelle Rama neither
confirmed nor denied her daughter's supposed transfer to TV5.
Annabelle's short statement to the media was: "Wala pang kontratang pinag-
uusapan. Pero maganda ang offer nila. Offer na hindi kaya ng iba."
She mentioned that Ruffa may hold a press conference with regards to this issue on
March 5.
