CONSIDERING
1. That, in applying Regulation Internal Academic System in Chapter XIV and its methodological guide for
graduate work or degree at the Technical University "Luis Vargas Torres" of Esmeraldas, there have been
difficulties in implementing the legal standards inherent in the procedure for the implementation of labor
titration; the amount of provisions that overlap each other and lead to multiple and cumbersome processes
that hinder students can organize and conduct their work in the minor degree possible times.
2. That it is necessary to simplify the tasks of organization, presentation and implementation of the proposed
graduation of students, making more comprehensible the different moments determined in the Regulation
and the methodological guide, without the difficulties involved existing.
3. That is a requirement of students and teachers, that this body make proper reform, which would clarify and
simplify the current regulatory procedures, making them more understandable and accessible, both for
students and for teachers who evaluated grade academic work.
4. That the tenth provision Primara the university statute empowers the University Academic Council, amend
or interpret domestic legislation, for better exercise of administrative power and to adapt the existing legal
system.
RESOLVED
Sole Article.- approve the amendment to Regulation Academic Board of the Technical University "Luis
Vargas Torres" in Chapter XIV: SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND GRADUCACION and the
methodological guide that served as a model for the development of the processes of development and
elaboration of the thesis, introducing in its contenidolas following modifications:
1) Add the following article
"Students of schools and careers of the Technical University" Luis Vargas Torres "of Esmeraldas, studies or
research may develop them to be of three general types:
a) Exploratorios.- Studies from studies of surveys to get a first approximation to a given phenomenon or
situation;
b) Studies Propositivos.- these studies attempt to report on the current status of an event as a phenomenon or
situation real or silver; its main objective is to characterize the most remarkable eindicar and distinguishing
features of the objects studied. An important feature of these studies is that facts or events are investigated
and produced or can be simulated in scenarios presented and what the researcher will handle compared with
experimental studies, are the methods of observation, description and mode analyze the relationships found.
It is for this type of research studies of diagnoses, situational baseline diagnoses, memories of a certain
action, case studies and analysis of the development of productive and industrial projects.
c) Experimental Studies or Hypothesis Testing or Causales.- these studies aims at checking a / s theoretical / s
(generally cause / silver / s effect hypothesis to a given fact of which have been collected background that
allowed its formulation . This hypothesis will be tested through experimentation or application of
experimental designs and research methods which data were obtained (results) that, when analyzed

Art. 2. Difference between terms of Degree Thesis and Report Project.- The thesis documents an
investigation to explore a theoretical issue or whose practical applications are not always the main purpose of
the work. The final product must demonstrate originality, creativity, individuality organization and critical
thinking skills to complete. The project report shows the same qualities but in a much more specific action,
because its goal is to solve a specific problem or comercio.- industry
Art. 3. The student will submit the project to his research on up to 6 pages and will be structured as follows:
1. Topic: summarize and explain clearly the main aspects of the thesis proposal. (Minimum 100 Mximo150 words):
2. Justification and importance of the study; justification is where the reader is exposed because the project
will run it's worth doing, having to take into account the importance (local, regional or national) and
currently has the topic or interest or expectations can cause the project to the institution, society, scientific

community, etc. (1,000 minimum - and maximum 3,000 words)


3. Definition of objectives;
3.1. Overall objectives, which should be one and is directly related to the title or subject of the project;
3.2. Specific objectives, derived from the overall objective written in the infinitive and constitute the
fundamental goals to be achieved; (Minimum 300 - Maximum 500 words)
4. Theoretical framework; the theoretical framework is a review of concepts related to the research topic,
from general to specific concepts that are related to the subject of study and must be mentioned:

4.2. Theoretical basis - scientific; and, if required legal;
4.3. Problems and Problem formulation;
5. Theoretical framework; the theoretical framework is a review of concepts related to the research topic,
from general to specific concepts that are related to the subject of study and must be mentioned:

7. Problems and Problem formulation;
8. Main Impacts, (applies to disciplines related to commercial and industrial activities). The impacts are

that articulate and what is the hypothesis with which they will be working on the thesis. (Minimum 500 Maximum 1000 words) (applies mainly to experimental research).

techniques and research tool that will be used in the project to achieve the objectives.

6.1.2. Population and study sample (for description and experimental studies).

Bibliographical and other information sources dating system shall conform to the international standard

. 2) Replace the Art 74, 76 and 77 by the following:
"Once the student has certified have met 80% of the qualifications of his career, having completed
evidencing the same, will present his thesis project before the director of the relevant school. He received the

seminars given by the teacher training college. By exception, the Board of each Faculty, authorize principals

their services in the academic units of the University.

Art. 6. If the research project presented to it has not been approved, the student will be asked when looking
for a new theme having a period of two weeks to present his new song to the direction of school, with the
same terms and evaluation procedures.
Art 7- The thesis should contemplate a research with a minimum of 4 months and a maximum duration of
one year with the possibility of an extension of 6 months. You have a minimum length of 30 pages and a
maximum of 50 sheets, observing the formalities style.
Art. 8. In order that the school has criteria address the level of evidence and advice received by the student,
the teacher advisor forward during at least three reports of project progress, enclosing the corresponding
evaluation sheet. Both the teacher and the student advisor will sign the assessment tools that will realize the
quality of the advice and academic performance estudiante.Art. 9. After the development of research, the student will have a maximum period of 30 working days to
submit the draft document called thesis or project report, with three copies, enclosing a certificate of
completion of academic work signed by the consultant, which will be processed by the principal, who, within
no more than three days, it shall at the same evaluation committee to qualify the project; that is, the faculty
advisor, specialist teachers and teaching of the discipline.
Art. 10. Upon receipt of the thesis project by the Evaluation Committee, from the Director of School, these
will present a report to the Director of the School, which will detail the scientific findings of the project and
shall act, accepting the project or recommending modifications deemed pertinent. If committee recommends
changes to the project, the students will have a period of 20 days to comply with those recommendations,
after which the project's return to the evaluation committee for final report.
Art. 11. The members of the Evaluation Committee must submit its qualification within a maximum period
of 15 days to the secretary of the faculty. The thesis will be approved if each grade is equal to or greater than
7/10.
Art.- 12. The Dean of the Faculty communicated in writing to the applicant student assessment results issued
by the court and will point day and time for the defense of his graduate work.
Art. 13. After determining the date of public defense of the thesis, the secretary of the faculty, with a week's
notice shall advise the members of the tribunal graduation date, day, time and place where he will defending
tesis.- The Court of graduation is the same as a member of the Evaluation Committee.
Art. 14. If for reasons of force majeure (domestic calamity, illness, etc.), One of the readers is unable to
attend the court date to constitute the graduation, will be replaced by the headmaster for all purposes. Art. 15. If cometh to discover that the thesis is not an original work, which is an act of plagiarism or that it
was done by others in an act of corruption found. The Academic Vice President, upon request or
automatically, proceed to the cancellation of the thesis and one calendar year suspension for the offending
student. Fulfilled the sanction, the student will be able to present his new thesis project before following the
steps outlined.
Art. 16. The public defense of thesis or graduation ceremony will have the following protocol:
to. Installing the academic act by the secretary or secretary and the Chief Justice;
b. Thesis statement by the student with a maximum duration of 30 minutes. the exhibitor will be suggested a
brief presentation of positive guidance, then mainly discuss the results and key findings;

Derogated the Art 70, 72, 74, 75 and 76 of the Rules of Academic System of the Technical University "Luis
Vargas Torres" Emerald.; as well as the methodological guide for the preparation of degree works.
FINAL DISPOSITION
This Resolution shall enter into force upon its approval by this body.
