governmentandprivatesectormay
alsosupportthedevelopmentofthe
centerwhichwouldbeasymbolof
healingtohumanityregardlessof
theircolor,religion,caste,gender
or nationality. Thus, we see
Ayodhya,inanotherdecadetobe
theworld?srenownedplacefor
evolution of the enlightened
citizenship.A place of healing
where value based education is
imparted,aplacewheremultiple
religions converge along their
sharedspiritualityandwhereideas

In1998,thePokhran-IItestscementedIndiasnuclearprowess.MrKalam
playedthepivotalroleintheproject.Hefirmlytoldtheinternationalcommunity
thatsucharmswereonlytodeterothernationsfromtryingtosubjugateIndia,
andwereonlytobeusedasweaponsofpeace.
Inarareshowofunity,allpoliticalpartiesunanimouslyvotedforMrKalam
in2002asthe11thPresidentofIndia.
AsPresident,MrKalampersonifieddignityandoptimismthroughoutIndia
andabroad.HisstirringspeechesattheUNandtheEuropeanParliamentare

micro-entrepreneursandprovidetrainingforthempartlyusingMOOCs

universitieswhichhavehundredsofthousandsofstudentsaspartners,he

GivenIndiaslimitedInternetreach,someofthecourseswouldhaveto
developedtoworkonsmartphones,hesaid.
AsfortheIIMBscoremission,wewill,ofcourse,continuetoeducate
MBAswhowillgoandjointhetopcompaniesintheworld,Vachani
said.Weareverygoodatthat.Butthereisnoreasonwhythesame
institutioncannotuseitsexpertiseinmanagementtocreatespecialcourses
forthemicroenterprises.

onJuly7.Itisbeingfollowedbycoursesininnovation,information
technologymanagementandoperationsmanagement.
VachanisaidthatstudentscantaketheseMOOCsaswellasothersfrom

Inastatement,theNHRCsaidithastakencognizanceofacomplaint
allegingharassmentbyCentralBankofIndiabyaeducationloan-takerand
herfamilyasthebankhaddisplayedthephotographsofthegirlstudentand
herfatherasmissinganddefaulter.

Thesewillconsiderintroducingnewsectorsandcoursesasperthedemand
oftheindustryandthewillingnessoftheparticipatinginstitutions.
Thefeeofthecourseswillbemutuallydecidedbyeachuniversityandthe
NSDCinconsultationwithNSDCapprovedtrainingpartnersandNSDC
approvedSectorSkillCouncils,accordingtothestatement.
