RELATED LEARNING EXPERIENCE
1. CLINICAL ASSIGNMENT

➢ The Clinical Coordinator for each school should coordinate with Nursing
Services for assigned clinical area of student, approved by the dean of the
school and City Health Office.

➢ A minimum of 10-12 students will be allowed per school / rotation.

➢ If 1 or 2 school are assigned in one health center they should coordinate


with each other and Health Center staff concerning learning experiences of
the student in the community.

1. UNIFORM

➢ Student must report to duty wearing the prescribed school uniform for field
affiliation.

➢ Shoes-should be flat or low-heeled closed shoes.

➢ Hair must be short or tied securely.


➢ Fingernails must be short / unpolished.

➢ Wearing of nameplates.

➢ No tattoo for both males / females.

➢ No piercing or wearing of earings for males.

➢ No smoking inside premises of H.C.

➢ Polished nails are not allowed.

1. PUNCTUALITY / ATTENDANCE

➢ Punctuality and attendance must at all times be ensured.

1. DELIVERY CALLS
➢ For those who will go on night duty at the health center, a permission slip
must be secured from parents/guardian.
➢ Student who will answer delivery call must always be supervised by the CI
or the Health Center nurse or midwife.
➢ For those student who wants to go on volunteer duty for completion of
cases will have to secure a letter from the school dean and approved by
CHO, copy furnished to the health center staff.
➢ Index card for DOS, Assisted Deliveries Cord Care etc. must be signed by
CI or health center staff before signature of PHN supervisor at CHO. (PRC
Requirement )

1. COURTESY / ATTITUDE

➢ Student must learn to show respect o CI and to the health center staff as
well.
➢ Visitors / boyfriends must not be entertained during duty hours at the health
centers.
➢ Boisterous laughing during office hours will not be allowed.

➢ Cleanliness of health center should always be maintained, particularly the


comfort room.
➢ Charging of cellphones at Health Centers will not be allowed.
➢ Proper use and maintenance of Health Centers equipments must be strictly
followed, breakage of equipments will be replaced by the student.

1. RECORDS / REPORTS

➢ Maintain order and proper records keeping of individual treatment records


of patient.
➢ Maintain confidentiality over information received from patients or
obtained from patients record.

➢ Any complaints regarding our health personnel, must be filed in writing


address to the City Health Office thru the Medical Officer copy furnished
to Nursing Services.
