Financial Planning, Budget Control, Risk Analysis and Forecasting Accountabilities:

Prepare annual budget for the Project, oversee budget control process and analyze variances
between budget and actual expenditures. Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial
statement of the group.
Develop clearly defined yearly work plan and budget. Support the implementation of the
developed work plans.
Periodical supervision and adjustment of the requirements for the Loan with the National Bank
of Abu Dhabi.
Regular crosscheck and surveillance of the Debt with the partners like Fujairah International
Trading Co. (FITCO).
Detailed budget for costs and revenue. Trend forecast based on historical values. Amend,
update and maintain periodic budgeting and forecasting for Project Operations on presented
to group Accounts and Project Management with actual compared to plan.
Maintain and Improve companys short, mid and long terms financial planning. Analyse
variations from budget plan and results and assist in determining and applying corrective and
preventive measures as needed.
Periodic financial statements presented to Group Accounts; Periodic General Status Report
preparation & Issuance.
End of the Year Physical Inventory Audit and stock reconciliation and evaluation for Audited
Report.
Cost control and monitoring for the project. Periodic Fuel and other consumptions
reconciliation.
Negotiate for all kinds of insurance policies.Maintain and issue policy records;
Communicating insurance requirements and update with Insurers. Advise and follow-up
outstanding claims.

Regulatory Claim issues; kept and maintain files and records for regulatory claims
Muncipality/Local Government; maintain claim costs analysis
Investment issues; Receivables Monthly Report follow-up, checking against sales, and
assimilating information for modeling purposes; Audited Accounts analysis ( ratios) and

The Insurance Division is headed by the Executive Director. As a part of SEC of Pakistan it is
responsible for supervision and development of more than 60 companies of insurance sector.
Head of Research and Development of insurance Sector:
Plan and design On-line Insurance Companies Return Submission System (ICRS)
Insurance Awareness Programme; Conducted Seminars and workshops.
Member of the Departmental Committee for Crop Loan Insurance;
Member of the Departmental Committee for Development of the Islamic Financial products
and institutes;
Course Coordinator for training programme for Insurance Department by Asian Development
Bank (ADB);
Resource Planning and designing the data collection and Requirement analysis of Financial
Statement of insurance sector;
Arranged Bilateral Agreements with other regulators like German Bafin, Malaysia Bank
Nigara, British FSA, Thai Department of Insurance etc.
Key person for reporting insurance development in Pakistan to State Bank, the Ministry of
Finance and Ministry of Commerce, International institutes.

I started my career with Nishat Group as Assistant manager in Accounts, Finance and
Management Information System Departments of the following entities;

A. D.G. Khan Cement Co. Ltd. Pakistan an establishment of FLSmidth, Denmark.


B. D.G Khan Electrical Co. With a capacity of 25 MW.
C. Phoenix Aviation (Commercial Manager) comprising of two Air Crafts.

Compiled and analyzed financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as
general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions, Standard journal entries

Analyzed daily and periodical banking transactions and journal entries

Reconcile sub-ledger accounts e.g. inventory, Stores etc.

Payroll maintenance and reconciliation

Preparation of monthly sales reports into excel spread sheet for analysis

Verifying and reconcile contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate
individual transactions prior to settlement.

Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and IFIRS.
