CPT Costs
The start of a
Year 1
traditional CPT
contract often
features low
competitive
pricing.
The new
Year
4
contract
may return to
a low overall
price - but
often with
more
restrictions

creep drive
higher user

By the time

The proof is
in the savings
Controlling our CPT components
- and costs - has increased our
standardization and has led to better
alignment with best practices and
improved clinical outcomes.
I have gone from a skeptic to an
enthusiastic believer. And the proof
is in the savings: we were able to
achieve the 8% reduction in our CPT
components by converting to the
ACS model.
However, the most exciting deliverable
of our partnership with ACS was the
additional 7% annual savings obtained
through utilizing their transparency
function, enabling us to standardize
and negotiate better non-sterile
contracts for our pack components.
