The Great Gatsby is book by F. Scott Fitzgerald that follows a cast of
characters living in the town of west egg in Long Island, New York during the
height of the roaring 20s. Some of the important themes that the main
characters have to deal with is; love, deception, resistance to changes, social
upheaval, and excess. Considered one of the great American novels of all time,
The Great Gatsby was also turned into a full length feature movie in 2013
featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire

Narration: While Nick is living amongst these large
mansions and self-obsessed people, he himself am
not, as the Yale graduate lives in a modest cottage
hidden amongst the trees. One day Nick goes to visit
his cousin living in East Egg, a side known more for
wealth and old money compared to West Egg. During
his visit it is brought to his attention that the man
responsible for the most lavish of partied in West Egg
is his own neighbor, a Mr. Gatsby.
