FIRE...AIR...WATER....EARTH
Posted by Whispr
Wiccan Magick is based on the four elements...Fire, Air, Water and Earth.
These four Elements correspond to the four directions of our physical world, the four
quarters of the universe, the four winds, and most importantly the four quarters of the
magical circle. Fire and Air are considered male energies....Water and Earth female. The
four Elements are forces and energies that make up the universe and everything in it.
They also possess form as well as force. In Wiccan Magick each Element is associated
with a color. Modern day Wiccans use the following colors: east - yellow; south - red;
west - blue; north - green.
FIRE
Fire represents passion, enthusiasm, desire and courage, force, lust, fertility and virility,
initiative and rejuvenation. It represents both light and heat. The light of intelligence
and the courage to follow it. A low fire person is usually cold, slow to act, without
enthusiasm for life or himself. A high fire person is bold, dramatic and passionate in all
areas within himself, however this person must be careful as fire can destroy
everything in it's path. Fire magick can bring on the new, bring on courage and passion
and destroy the old.
It's feelings are hot and dry, it's season is Summer and direction is South/Energy. It's
symbol is the Athame/Sword, Candle and the Burner; it's colors are Reds, Oranges and
Golds. The moon phase is the second quarter and it's time is high Noon.
The different types of Fire Magick are Bonfire Magick, which usually involves burning
something such as an herb or flower, or a piece of paper or petition on which you have
written your desire. It is used for banishing, ridding or destroying negative influences
in your life.
Another is Candle Magick, a simple, easy and useful method in bringing about your
desires. A color for the candle is chosen and can also include the correct scent in
relation to your desire and lit sometimes for up to seven days. This type of Fire Magick
is usually for any type of desire.
Another is Sun Magick. Using the Sun in our desires is a beautiful way in which to
enhance new beginnings in love, health, work and home, awaken subtle powers and
aid in attraction desires.
AIR
Air represents mental activity, thoughts, reason and intellect, memory, knowledge,
persuasion, birth and friendship, freedom, clarification and expression. A low Air
person seems without any direction and unable to define or visualize any future and
can not reason out the alternatives and objectives. A high Air person is at ease in
complex situations and can sit and think things through, and can carry through with
decisions.
It's feelings are moist heat, it's season is Spring, it's direction is East/Mental, the symbol
is the Wand, Athame, or the smoke of the incense. It's colors are White, Lt Blues,
Yellows and Green. Moon phase is the first quarter and it's time is Dawn.
Different types of Air Magick include Visualizations. An important tool in any magick
work, it makes the events happen. For this type, it is important that all the other factors
such as color, time, the moon phase, winds, etc. are all in balance. And to have the other
tools working such as incense and candle burning, or even the right tea or wine to
drink in the background. This is because you need to "fix" or "ground" the images or
ideas you are using in your visualization.
As our thoughts are extremely powerful, as are our Words. Words can be put together in
such a way as to form spells, or used in channeling your power. Words give rise to our
desires and can be released upon the winds for attainment. Created and repeated with
intensity and concentration the spoken word is a powerful magick in itself. You do not
have to be an accomplished linguist, just a simple sentence will do. It creates an
atmosphere of concentrated awareness and strength. Words can be used in moments of
stress and fear, and will create the magick itself. It does not have to be said aloud, say
them to yourself if need or want be.
Another Air Magick is Mirror Magick. It can help in overcoming inner problems and
also help with difficult personal decisions. It uses both the Word and Visualization
forms and can also aid in being able to visualize a future event. Sometimes, used as a
Scrying Tool, in which you are able to "see" possible future events.
WATER
Ah water, the symbol of our emotions. Water imbibes all life forms and in us we flow
with the "tide" of our feelings. It involves intuition, insight, conception and pregnancy,
fertility, the womb, health, beauty and divination. A low water person would appear as
a cold calculating one, one who is indifferemt and unresponsive. On the other hand, a
high water person may seem as though at the slightest touch the well is opened and can
be over emotional and over dramatic in all areas of life. A good balance of water here is
needed to keep the flow running smoothly.
Its feelings are cold moisture, its season is Fall, direction is West/ Emotion and its
colors are Blue, Light Grays, Sea Greens and Whites. The symbols are the cup or
chalice. The Moon phase is the Full Moon and its time is Dusk.
Some Water Magick can involve the use of the beach and its sand, shells, animals and
seawater. Especially good for love spells and too, when you need to "get a grip" or
clarify your own emotions. The use of shells in the practice is widely used. These can
hold appropriate herbs or be used as a symbol of Water Magick.
One old tradition is using that of well water. A lot of gems and stones are exposed to
this for a period of time and used at night, in full moon or the waxing phases, for Water
Magick. Be careful though to know your stones, as some do not react well in water for
long periods of time. This type of magick can give you insights to how others think of
you, what others are doing and how well they are and to find the truth within yourself.
Be careful when using this type also, if there is an intent of maliciousness or control of
another, all you will get is a reflection back unto yourself.
Water spells can involve the use of Scrying bowls. This is a bowl of clear or colored
water in which you are able to "see" the future and future events or get a clear direction
on decisions. Widely used in certain meditations and visualizations.
EARTH
Finally we come to the Element of Earth. The source and provider of all our needs.
Represents sensations, decay, patience, stability, strength, health, warmth and comfort,
animals and animal instincts, farming and physical labor.
Its feeling is dry and cold, its season is Winter, its colors are Browns, Blacks, Purples
and some Greens. Its symbol is the Pentacle or Rice, Salt or grain in a brass or terra
cotta bowl or a Stone. Its Moon phase is the Fourth Quarter and its favored time is
Midnight. A high Earth person seems a practical sort and quite "down to earth". A hard
worker, stable and a good provider. Can be a little too stubborn sometimes however. A
low Earth person can seem confused, insecure and alone, unable to feel wanted and the
work may be affected.
Earth Magick can involve the use of herbs and plants. Using the correct herb to attain
your desire along with the other tools can be very effective. Burying something and
making some offerings to the Earth such as planting trees is a form of Earth Magick.
Using your gems or crystals and burying them in the Earth under the appropriate tree
while making your wish is also effective.
Another type which is considered Earth Magick is any type of routine magick.
Anything you do on a routine basis can be used as a magickal vehicle. While
performing something you do at the same time everyday, prepare yourself and use this
period for clarity on a subject, figure the best course of action in a situation or to find
just where you are in the course of your life.
Witchy Responsibility
Times Three!
Posted by Gaia Windwalker
The web is a wonderful place to come to for info about Witchcraft, Wicca or most
any other Pagan belief and it is also a great place to find services rendered in these
fields, FOR A HEFTY PRICE! I know there are people out there who are not sure about
thier powers and would rather have someone else cast for them or Maybe this person
does not really want to be a Wiccan or Witch but just wants the benefits. Well either
way these things have serious repercussions. The most serious of all these
repercussions is YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for the outcome. Whether you cast yourself
or lay down your thirty pieces of silver to have it done, IT IS YOUR BABY! When you
lay out $300 to $1000 for some stranger to cast a spell for you (that you could do
yourself for just a few dollars) you are buying responsibility for anothers actions. What
if something goes wrong or even if it goes right (a little too right) and you need this
spell reversed. Some spells can only be reversed by the actual caster and that is another
$300 to $1000 or more. No better way to make a killing than to have an emergency that
needs to be fixed, FAST! There are a few WITCHES FOR HIRE that will rip you a new
one at every opportunity (why do you think they charge rediculous prices). Many of
these paid for spells have many parts, you do a little and the Hired Hand does a little.
So when the BOOBOO has to be fixed; who slipped up! Many times you have to wait
for written results (for WEEKS). Although, if you did the spell yourself, YOU WOULD
KNOW THE RESULTS, ALREADY! When they arrive and or if you find out they are
wrong or you have been RIPPED OFF, GOOD LUCK with that REFUND. Remember
"WHAT YE SENDS OUT RETURN TO YE THREE FOLD" (this not an exact quote) and
that applies to anything you hire done, If your are the initiator and you reap the
benefits, then it is all yours. SOOO! Here's the thing! Why not do it yourself? You can
save enough money to stock you cupboard for Life and if something goes wrong you
can fix it yourself. The info and advice is only a click away and there are many
wonderful witches that would advise yo in a spell, FOR FREE! When you have to suffer
the results, it should be for your own actions and not those of a HIRED STRANGER!
Learn your craft. and do your own spells. Be responsible for your own actions. This is a
lesson in foolishment for all the newbies stopping by. For those who do not wish to
associate themselve with the title of witchery but wish to benefit from the talents of
others. GET A LIFE!.
Well, Remember the famouse words of the aunt from Practical Magic. "You can't
practice witchcraft while you look down your nose at it!"
Be Blessed,
Love, Peace & Hope
Earth's Commandments
Posted by Whispr
1. Thou shalt love and honor the Earth for it blesses thy life and governs thy
survival.
2. Thou shalt keep each day sacred to the Earth and celebrate the turning of
the seasons.
3. Thou shalt not hold thyself above other living things nor drive them to
extinction.
4. Thou shalt give thanks for thy food to the creatures and plants that
nourish thee.
5. Thou shalt limit thy offspring, for multitudes of people are a burden unto
the Earth.
6. Thou shalt not kill nor waste Earth's riches upon weapons of war.
7. Thou shalt not pursue profit at the Earth's expense but strive to restore its
damaged majesty.
8. Thou shalt not hide from thyself or others the consequences of thy actions
upon the Earth.
9. Thou shalt consume material goods in moderation so all may share Earth's
bounty.

A diary can play many roles. It can be a confidant, a vehicle of self expression, a tool
that facilitates clarity of thought, or a repository of dreams. A diary can also be a
powerful source of comfort during challenging or traumatic periods. When you record
those insights and incidents that clearly demonstrate you are on the right track, you can
return to your words days, weeks, or months later and find uniquely soothing
reassurance. A diary with a specific purpose can be a good tool for keeping track of
experiences before the passage of time can skew your perception of events. It reflects
the immediacy of your life and thus provides you with a landmark to return to when
you begin to doubt yourself. If doubt does arise, simply open your diary to reaffirm
your experiences. The confidence, surety, passion, and bravery you felt in a single
moment is preserved, giving you a means to recapture those feelings in any place, at
any time.
Your diary serves as a repository of personalized encouragement. Since a diary is, by its
very nature, as individual as you are, you should give some thought to the type of diary
that will serve you best. A synchronicity-and-connections diary might describe those
instances where seemingly random occurrences came together in a meaningful way,
propelling you forward. Or you may find strength in the pages of a pride diary that
makes note not only of those times you felt proud of yourself but also precisely why
you were pleased with your efforts. And a cause-and-effect diary can help you become
more decisive by reminding you of all the wise, life-affirming choices you have made.
Your diary should be small enough to be readily portable and on hand whenever
possible because the faster you put your thoughts down on paper, the more authentic
your declarations are apt to be.
Regardless of the type of focused diary you choose to keep, your recollections will
create a positive feedback loop that helps you cope with doubt in a constructive way.
Reading through your diary when life seems uncertain can show you that your
misgivings are unfounded. As you draw consolation from your uplifting words, you
will know without a doubt that you are indeed living your purpose and following the
path that you committed to before birth.
Autumn is here and with it comes the last of our harvesting season. So this time Ive
been wandering collecting Corn stalks. This time of year the sweet corn is long gone
but the stalks can be harvested and used for many things. Corn has been held sacred to
many cultures since the beginning of recorded time. It has been called by many names
,Corn, maize, give of life, sacred mother, seed of seeds. Feminine in nature,it is
associated with the sun and the element fire.
Ceres is the Roman goddess of the harvest season and of grain, specifically corn.
She is associated with agricultural fertility and a bountiful harvest. An offering
honoring her will bring bountiful harvests and protect your crops in the coming year
For those who want to bring some Fairy magic into their harvest celebration ,a Corn
Fairy is always fun to make. There is lots of lore concerning fairies and Corn.
The Celts did not go to the mills after dark because they believed that was when the
fairies milled their Corn.
Brownies are small, drawf-like fairies that choose a hard-working good-hearted
family
to live with and help with farm duties and daily chores .
You should never offer to pay your brownies as that will offend them. However they
love to be fed.
One of their favorite meals is a bowl of Cream and Corn bread with Honey.
Corn lore is prominent throughout Native American folklore. The Cherokee, Iroquois,
and Apache all tell stories of how corn came to be part of our diet ,most involve a
crone presenting corn as a gift to someone youngThey scatter Corn or Corn meal to
purify and bless a space.
Arrangments of Corn hung above doorways at harvest time will protect rewards that
have been reaped.
As Witches, Corn teaches us the mysteries of life, death, and rebirth.
We use corn in spells that involve protection, luck and divination.
Corn teaches the mystery of life, death, and rebirth which makes it great in spell
performed on Samhain.
Corn and corn meal is also useful for spells related to fertility ,prosperity and
abundance.
These Besoms can be used for the traditional purposes of fertility rites and clearing of
negativity.Or hung on your door they will invoke Strength ,Protection and Comfort

1 Tablespoon Dried Blue Lotus Flower
1/2 cup Ground Sea shell powder
1 Tablespoon Fine Copper Sulfate Crystal
1/2 Teaspoon Silver Sparkle Mica
5 - 6 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
To make
Light 2 Blue Candles
Have a Bowl of Salt water between the Candles
Mix Ingredients together
Place a Blue Apatite Crystal or Blue Phantom Fluorite Crystal or Aquamarine into the
MixtureInvoke (your Deity of Choice) I am leaving this Blank for you to perform your
own ritual as Everyone does it Different
Remove Crystal then place Fairy Dust into Empty bottles
Within the three days prior to the actual full moon, gather the ingredients required,
along with a mortar and pestle to blend them in
Please Note: This recipe is intended for outdoor rituals. If you will be using the Moon
Incense inside, use 1/2 ounce Sandalwood powder instead of 1 ounce and increase the
amber from 5 grams to 10 grams.
Preferably outside, under the actual full moon, or indoors near a window where the
moon is visible:
Fill the mortar or cauldron with the sandalwood powder, and crush the amber into it
with the pestle or tool of your choice. Use deosil (clockwise) blending motions. Focus
on the energy of the full moon, or if you are making the incense for a specific spell,
focus on the goal of that spell alone. You can incorporate your favorite words of power
or chant while doing this.
When the powder is smooth and consistent, add the vanilla, one drop at a time while
saying your chosen words of power (which is best), or the following (which will suffice
in most cases):
Drop of moon, grant my boon.
Blend in the drops in the same way you blended in the amber resin. Place the mixture
in a clear glass jar with an airtight lid. Keep it away from heat, sunlight, and moisture.
Charge it under the light of the full moon on the three days prior to it becoming
actually full. The full moon light penetration is the reason for not storing this in an
opaque jar. It is ready for use immediately, but can be charged more if desired.
Cross Roads
You need
1 Cup Graveyard Dirt*
Note not from a Grave but from the Crossroads in a grave yard
1 Cup Epsom Salt
1/2 Dead Sea Salt
1/2 Cup Ground Coffee Beans
1/2 Cup Ground Chili or Cayenne powder
1/2 cup Ground Egg Shells
1/2 Cup Ground Chicken bone Powder
1/2 cup Red Pepper Flakes
10 drops Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Rum
2 Tablespoons Sandalwood
The Ash of one Cigar
Light 2 Purple Legba/Ellegua Candles 1 Red 1 Black Candle
Invoke ( Deity of your Choice for me It is Baron Samedi or Hecate )
Note: If you are making a mojo hand at this point, you will need to have already burned
the candle, and gotten all of the roots, herbs, lodestones and items ready for it
beforehand. This is the point you feed it with magnetic sand and lodestones bundle it
all up, dedicate it to Baron Samedi. It is the putting of the roots such as High John the
Conquerer, mandrake or ginger and lodestones that make it a "mojo hand" specifically.
The magnetic objects and roots make it a "hand" meant to draw something to you or
attract something such as protection or money.
This is different than a mojo bag or wanga/ouanga packet. Mojo bags are usually carried
on you or put in your car or whatnot, whereas a mojo hand is kept on or near the altar or
is hidden.
Divination
Now sit down and spend some time in front of your altar. Do some divination if you feel
like it. You can read cards or throw coconut or use cowries or whatever you usually do.
Ritual Ending
Bell is rang 3 times to announce the closing of the ritual.
Asson is shaken alternately.
Water is drank from the cup on the altar to take the gifts of the lwa but to also begin to
cool and refresh yourself. Wash your face off with mineral or spring water,
When this is finished water is flicked at each cardinal point.
Say the following:
I now return. I thank you Baron Samedi and all of the lwa and other spirits that have
helped and aided me in this ritual. May you hear my requests and accept the offerings
we have given. We shall now go our separate ways in peace, until I shall have need and
will call upon you again.
Au revoir Baron La Croix!
Ago-e!
Baron candle is extinguished or you can leave it burning until it goes out if it can be
done safely. You can leave the candle burning until it goes out, and use the wax from it
for a particularly potent mojo hand ingredient, BTW.
Baron Carrefour - Lord of the Crossroads, Papa Legba - Keeper of the Gates we now
thank you for opening the gates to the lwa and spirits and now request that you close the
gates, and accept the offerings I have given and be propitious and heed our requests and
speak on my behalf with the lwa.
May you protect and watch over me Papa Legba at all times.
Now may we go our ways until such time as I shall have need and shall call upon you
again to assist us in the sacred rites and rituals.
Au revoir Baron Carrefour!
Papa Legba, Ago-e!
Hail and farewell.
Legba candle is extinguished.
Ritual ends.
Return to mundane.
Ground, and eat.
Offerings and candle wax (unless using) and other leftovers are left in a specific spot
post ritual. I have a large flat rock in my backyard that suffices.
Remove Crystal and put Dust into empty bottle
Okay once you are done making the above fairy Dust Recipes or any Recipe that you
have

Hawk
Posted by sunflowerhawkspirit
The hawk totem is strongly connected to the spiritual realms. When it shows up in your
life, you may be called to pay attention and experience rapid spiritual development. As
you develop your relationship with your totem, you may be inspired to feel your
connection with spirit more fully.
Hawk symbolism in ancient traditions
In numerous traditions, the hawk has a strong relationship with the world of the gods.
Some of this symbolism has persisted in modern mythology and beliefs.
In Ancient Egypt, the belief was that a hawk-headed spirit called ba would fly off a
mummy to come back among the living as a hawk or swallow. The hawk symbolized a
part of the soul that would be freed up after death and come back to the world of the
living in the shape of a bird. It was also the animal of choice for the god Horus, god of
the sky, who was represented with a hieroglyph depicting a falcon or hawk.
The popular belief in more modern times that birds like hawks or owls are announcer of
death may be rooted in this myth.
For the Greeks, the hawk and the eagle were associated with the god Jupiter, king of the
gods. The bird is strongly connected with the realm of the gods.

The state of our energy centers directly affects our aura. I firmly believe that this
relates directly with our well being on all levels, the physical, emotional, mental and
spiritual. These are not separate parts but parts of a whole. Optimally that is how it
should "be"..the ultimate way to "BE".
I personally work with my energy centers and aura daily. No matter what is
happening, no matter what I am facing I consistently find my coping skills are
enhanced by this practice. Not only am I able to cope more effectively with the
challenges; I am also able to see the opportunities to acquire more wisdom from these
dilemmas.
There are many ways to cleanse and heal the energy centers. I don't believe there is
one way that is better than another. What matters is the intent and what works best for
you, personally. It's good to read about the ways other people accomplish this. It's a
good starting point but as you begin to work with aura cleansing and healing ; you will
find a way that works best for you.
My practice of chakra/ aura cleansing and healing is very eclectic. However, it always
begins with Gratitude, Reiki. and breathing. This is what resonates with me.
Sometimes it takes 10 minutes and sometimes it takes me an hour or so.
Another important step is to prepare your space. Whatever your tradition, always ask
your Higher Source to help prepare your space with healing and protection. It
prepares us for the working and gives a heightened sense of relaxation and openness.
These enhance the clearing and healing practice.
What you will accomplish is a life force charged with higher vibrations, energy centers
flowing with fewer blockages, release of tensions and a healthier aura.
Center, Balance and Focus. That is what it's all about.
