In-Class Project: Clothing Catalog

Instrucciones: You are a fashion designer getting ready to put out a catalog with your latest clothing line.
You have produced one line for men and one line for women. Your job is to create a catalog with a detailed
description of each item to entice your audience to buy your new clothing line. You will make two catalog
pages, one with a guy and one with a girl. Each person will be wearing at least five or six items of clothing.
You will be asked to write a sentence for each item of clothing telling what the person is wearing and
describing it in Spanish. You should use descriptive adjectives and colors!

Steps to Complete Your Catalog

1) Look over the vocabulary under Vocabulario Nuevo at the middle of the page. Using your textbook
or Spanish-English dictionary, write the English definitions next to the Spanish vocabulary.
2) Then, under the Brainstorming Section, write a list of the 5 items of clothing you want each
person to wear (for a total of 10 items of clothing), and make sure to also list descriptive adjectives and
colors.
3) Next, sketch out your people and what they are wearing on your piece of construction paper. Make
sure to label each article of clothing in Spanish. Use color and be creative! 
4) After completing the sketch, write a paragraph for each person in Spanish underneath their picture
telling what they are wearing (and using descriptive adjectives and colors). Use the Pre-Writing Section
on the next page to draft your paragraph and have me come check it before you transfer the final version
on to your catalog.

NOTE: Your project must be neat, colorful, and grammatically correct in Spanish. Make sure to put
your name on the back! This will count for a QUIZ GRADE!
