Working as RF Planning Executive Engineer in Telenor Pakistan as Permanent employee ,Responsiable for
Planning and Optimizating of New sites.
Roll-Out

Mangaging Team of 11 Peoples for Rollout of 1000 New Sites

Planned over 200 sites for providing coverage to new areas and offloading existing sites to their
required traffic.

Nominal site design using ASSET planning tool and Map info/Google earth.

Conducted nominal site surveys/TSS for macro/ micro sites in different terrains including urban,
suburban, rural and hilly.

Verifying TSS data of team member, verifying site acquisition report (SAR).

USF Project

USF Chitral Project Currently managing Rollout of 127 sites of USF project.This includes

USF Shangla Project Planning phase of 80+ sites for USF Shanagla is completed and
subimitted for Approval to USF authorities. 2G+3G Coverage will be provided to about 400+
Muzas of the area.

Planning of sites for providing 2G coverage to the 1100 Muzas(villages) of different area.This
project is already KO

Prelaunch Optimization

Pre-launch Optimization and Integration of new Sites and ensuring they meet the GOS
requirements.

Daily monitoring of CSSR,DCR,INCHOSR,MPD,,SD blocking and TCH blocking of pre-launch

sites and their improvement by HOC, POC,ADJC and other parameter modifications, redesigns
and coordination with respective departments.

Drive Testing to identify problematic areas and issues. Optimization and troubleshooting using
Stats, DT tools and Analyzers.

IBS(Indoor Building Solution)

Conducts technical site survey for GSM In-Building Solutions (IBS)

Calculates power budget to ensure optimum design of Distributed Antenna System (DAS)

Improve Quality of Service (QoS) of assigned area through resolution of worst performing cells
and cluster optimization.

Monitoring daily KPIs that include HOSR, DCR, DL/UL Quality, CSSR, TCH/SD blocking
using Nokia Report Suite and Nokias Network Doctor and carrying out the necessary optimization
and parameter tuning for further improvement.

Perform monthly drive test and quarterly network benchmarking on assigned routes, immediate
resolution of problems encountered during the test, using TEMS Investigation 8.0 for analysis.

Validate through drive test to ensure changes affected from BSC and BTS re-homing,
implementation of new frequency plan and activation of new BSS features doesnt hamper network
quality.

Responsible for the GPRS/EDGE data traffic monitoring and optimization to ensure seamless data
availability & high throughput.

Drive tests for Providing In-Building Solutions which include Coverage with Macro/Micro Cell
Nokia BTS, Repeater and various in building Omni & Directional Antennas.

Perform Frequency Planning and Adjacency Optimization through weekly KPI measurements and
MIPT tool in Mapinfo.

The Optimization activities post drive test included foot printing of all the sites in order to control
the site overshoot, cell dragging, interference elimination, monitoring of RX Quality, layer 3
messages, two way neighbor relations, locating handover failures, call drops, call blocks, coverage
holes, improving and expanding coverage areas after comparing the prediction and its
measurement, taking the terrain conditions into consideration.
