Ementa
Partindo de algumas das principais crticas anti-colonialistas e antirepresentacionalistas dirigidas antropologia desde a dcada de 1950, este curso
pretende discutir algumas das respostas que a disciplina elaborou ou pode elaborar.
Respostas que no devem ser entendidas nem no sentido em que se responde a uma
ofensa, nem no sentido em que se responde a uma pergunta. Mas, no sentido em que o
pensamento pode ser posto em movimento por um problema simultaneamente
epistemolgico, poltico e tico.
Assim, aps uma sesso de apresentao e introduo geral, teremos quatro
sesses dedicadas s crticas anti-colonialistas, ps-modernas e nominalistas. Em
seguida, analisaremos trs variaes de um tema: as respostas oferecidas por
Marilyn Strathern (duas sesses), Roy Wagner (uma sesso) e Bruno Latour (duas
sesses) aos desafios colocados por essas crticas. Retornaremos, ento, a Marilyn
Strathern (trs sesses) a fim de explorar a possibilidade de uma fuso criativa entre
essas trs variaes.
Finalmente, as trs ltimas sesses do curso sero dedicadas a uma nova
variao: a alternativa ps-estruturalista oferecida por Gilles Deleuze e Flix Guattari
a partir de 1972. O que, por ltimo mas no menos importante, servir tambm como
uma homenagem, ligeiramente atrasada, a maio de 1968.
