Cigna Aims (PRPC 7.1.7, Smart Claims Engine (SCE) framework) (08/2014-to
date)
Virtusas engagement with Pegasystems is to deploy Pegasystems' Smart Claims Engine (SCE)
that will empower Cigna with the speed and flexibility of configurable claims adjudication,
enabling transformative service levels and capabilities as Cigna services its clients, customers
and health care professionals.
Cigna, working with Pegasystems and Virtusa, will describe top-level business goals, objectives,
and requirements, will define functional requirements, will elaborate functional specifications,
will configure and conform the SCE to Cigna's business purposes, will test and accept the
delivered SCE and will deploy SCE in a Production context.
Duties and responsibilities. - Client facing

Implementing the major functionalities in the Cigna Aims application such


as provider selections and clinical editing

Phase 2 of the Large Group Sales project will increase the automation level of the Group sales
quoting process as well as begin the design of a centralized product repository for health
products. Currently, the Group sales quoting process is manual requiring significant effort from
internal Florida Blue staff resulting in lengthy cycle times. Business and IT leadership selected
the quoting process as the second sliver of work to provide quick business value. The objective
of sliver 2 is to accurately and efficiently gather data necessary to complete the quoting
process and group setup to allow enrollment and billing

Florida Blue Client Install Sliver 1 (PRPC 6.3, GSPM) (02/2014-04/2014)


In an effort to enhance the customer experience for Florida Blue customers, Phase 1 of the
Large Group Sales project will increase the automation level of the Client Install process as
well as begin the design of a centralized product repository for health products.
The Client Install process will be streamlined to reduce hand-offs and integrated with back-end
systems to increase sales coordinator efficiency and ensure data integrity

AIG is the worlds largest insurance organization, with more than 88 million customers serving
more than 130 countries around the world. AIG is a provider of property casualty insurance, life
insurance and retirement services, and mortgage insurance.
OneClaim is the AIGs complete solution for claims intake, adjudication and financial
management on a global basis. OneClaim offers a consolidated global approach to claims-entry,
with an aim to improve performance around the speed and cost at which claims are processed
to maximize the customer experience and improve overall service offered to our clients.
OneClaim will be rolled out to cover all lines of business and all AIG operational units around
the globe.
Duties and responsibilities. - Client facing

Implemented one of the major flows in US specialty line of business which involved
triggering XML, changing policy details, updating coverages, creation of follow up tasks,
claims reassign etc.
Worked on implementing the global framework which comes on top of all the regions

insurers in the world. New York Life Long Term Care Insurance (LTCi) is a division of New York
Life as the name implies. NYL LTC is responsible for policy generation, policy administration,
distributor compensation, and claims administration. As part of policy administration, NYL LTC
is responsible for maintaining all policies and servicing all policy requests made on behalf of
their policyholders.
Virtusa is to build a BPM initiative from Pega PRPC 6.2 which will enable NYLLTCi to be a more
efficient and flexible organization that will automate its current manual system as well and
capitalize on market forces in the long-term care insurance marketplace

HMSA has employed Virtusa to develop and deliver 2 important modules for their Business
operations, AMS and CR. The AMS module will be used by Account Management and Sales
representatives who are responsible for determining the eligibility, communicating plans and
offerings, and following-up with and closing the prospects. The CR Module will be used by
Members and Providers of the HMSA contact Customer Service Representatives for different
services

Currently, in Global Transaction Services, the Information Warehouse team needs to track all
incidents and their subsequent updates and resolution. These incidents are currently reported
by different applications and monitoring tools running on the systems to an outlook distribution
list.

The key objectives are to:


To ensure that all incident email interactions for GIW are automated.
To certify all incidents are assigned the correct priority.
To enhance the existing parsing rules, whereby, the system will auto load emails into service
cases/incidents and put it in service baskets, based on certain key words that it can identify
from an incoming email message

ERA Insight Pega Plugin (GTO Initiative) (07/2009-08/2009)


ERA insight is a single tool created by GTO that bundles-in many other tools
including open source as well as home grown tools. It is expected to be deployed on
the build server and provides a safety-net on the codebase and enterprise level
visibility to the status of the code. It is compatible with Java, .NET, C++, Remedy
and Oracle PIM projects. The goal of Era Insight Pega plugin is to make Era
compatible with PRPC.
Project Role:
Analyzing the feasibility of automated Rule extraction using web service
R&D on building web service to extract rule as separate XML files (as opposed
to Zip file).
Developing a web-service to get Rule-set, Version and other related info form
PRPC server.

processes to execute on three critical slivers of functionality to improve the revenue
and cost basis of the TruGreen Landcare organization in both the sales and
operational areas.
