Scholarships)
What is it about?
S&T scholarship award applies to those
who will take a course in a DOST-SEI
priority field of study leading to a
Bachelor of Science degree. There are
two kinds of scholarships under this
program.

RA 7687 Scholarship: University

of the Philippines or any state
college/university or other
tertiary institutions identified by
CHED as Centers of Excellence
and Centers of Development
(COE/COD) for the DOST-SEI
priority courses.
Merit Scholarship: DOST-SEI
identified colleges and
universities with priority S&T
courses.

What are the qualifications for this

program?

RA 7687 Scholarship:

Natural-born Filipino citizen.

He/She must belong to the top five
percent (5%) of the regular high
school graduating class -or- a
member of the graduating class of
DOST-SEI identified or DepEdrecognized science high school.

Good moral character.

Good health condition

Above requirements including:

poor, talented and deserving
student who belongs to a family
whose socio-economic status does
not exceed the set values of certain
indicators

has not taken any undergraduate or
post secondary course (Form E)

Statement of parent that applicant

has no pending application as
immigrant to any other country

SM Foundation Scholarships
What is it about?
Scholars are entitled to full
matriculation fees and monthly stipend.
They are also given a chance to
experience summer/Christmas break
jobs at SM Malls and, after their
graduation, will be offered exclusive job
opportunities by the SM Group.
What are the qualifications for this
program?

Graduates of Public High Schools

Php150,00 or less household

income per year, supported by
BIR Income Tax Return.
Fourth year weighted average
grade of at least 88% in the
second or third grading period.

Requirements for Application

Filled up SM College Scholarship

Application Form.
Clear photocopy of F138 or 4th
year High School Report Card
with the Second or Third Grading
periods weighted average.
Certificate of passing the
entrance test in school of choice
(if available).
Photocopy of latest Income Tax
Return (ITR) or Certificate of
Non-filing of Income.

Deadline of Application: 1st Week of
December

What are the qualifications for this
program?

Must be a Filipino citizen;

Must be a high school graduate;
candidate for graduation; with
earned units in college; passer of
ALS/PEPT;

Must have a combined annual

gross income of
parents/guardian not to exceed
P300,000.00;

Must avail of only one CHED

scholarship or financial
assistance program; and

Must not be a graduate of any

degree program.

Regional Office concerned.

CHED Student Financial Assistance

Program
What is it about?
Intended for high school graduates
whose general weighted average (GWA)
is at least 90% or its equivalent, and for
graduating high school students whose
GWA is at least 90% or its equivalent in
the third year and at least 90% in the

Science and Engineering

Scholarship Program

What is it about?
Their goal is to produce a higher ratio of
qualified science and engineering
experts and practitioners in the
Philippines. Our scholarship program
helps high-achieving Filipinos in need
pursue technical educations. There are
over 80 students currently on PhilDevShell scholarships at Philippine
Universities.
What are the qualifications for this
program?
1. Demonstrate a certain level of
financial need (family gross income
below P500,000 per year).
2. Must be in his/her sophomore year or
higher.
3. He/She must be a Filipino citizen,
without a pending immigration
application to any foreign country.
4. Other requirements that the donor
may require.
Requirements for Application
Applicants may go to the
Scholarships/Admissions/Financial Aid
offices of the above partner universities
for the application form, scholarship
stipulations and a list of required
documents. Deadline for submission of
accomplished application forms are
determined by partner universities.
Qualified applicants shortlisted by
partner universities go through a panel
interview for final screening and
selection.
