STEP-UP AND AWARDING CEREMONIES 2015

DREAM BIG, SOAR HIGH

Classical Music On
T. Jhonnel

May we invite everyone to please settle down. Before our program begins, may we ask everyone to turn off or
put on silent mode all their mobile phones. We should like to be considerate of others by not going beyond the
designated areas for parents and not standing up while others are seated behind you. Let us keep the solemnity
of this occasion possible. We are about to start the program in a few minutes. Thank you.
Music down to fade.

T. Aira

May we ask for a moment of silence. Silence will start now(count 15 slowly and quietly then start)
Babies they may be some years ago, they will be amongst us in a while to present themselves as children and
students who have learned much from home and school for the past year.

T. Jhonnel

Babies they maybe some months ago, they will tread the halls of our school today to manifest their longing to
step up to another level of discipline. Although still babies to most of our eyes, no doubt that these HiHo
students shall soon leave their nest and venture into a whole new world of uncertainty and excitement. They are
ready to dream big and soar high!

T.Aira

In recognition of the transformation each stepping up student has achieved, it is just proper to commend and
praise them today.

T.Jhonnel

This is the essence of the Step-Up and Awarding Ceremonies-to recognize our students achievements and
honor their individual differences.
We shall now be calling on each Nursery 2 and Kinder I student to take their rightful place among those who will
step up today.
Ladies and gentlemen, the students of High Horizons Learning Center for school year 2014-2015.

Ten months have passed. Our students didnt just learn the ABCs and 123s. They also learned essential life
skills. They learned to analyze; how to socialize with others; how to lead and follow; and most importantly, they

learned values and attitudes that will serve them well for lifestarting with their new challenge next school year
as primary school students.
Graduation march on
Kinder II students will slowly walk with their stola on both palms of their hands ( To be retrieved by Teacher Rey
as soon as they reach the students area)
T. Aira

As the Kinder II students approach their rightful place among those who have come before them, they hold on
their palms the HiHos sacred stola-The symbol of HiHos recognition, rights and privileges that shall be
conferred upon the stepping up student. The stola means that the student has completed and passed all
academic and deportment requirements in school that are essential for the next level. Ladies and gentlemen,

Please sit down. High Horizons Learning Center is an integrated learning and development center that provides
academic content in a context that the children understand and enjoy. At HiHo, learning is achieved through the
various activities and experiences the students have every day while inside or outside of the classroom.

T. Aira

Learning is also achieved through the efforts of the different personalities in our community. While teachers
prepare with utmost care the materials needed for class daily, the parents cooperation and support was
unwavering. This home-school partnership is the real factor in providing the students with the perfect learning
environment.

T. Jhonnel

Tonight, we shall honor our students, but in honoring our students, we ought to honor our parents and teachers
as well. To extend the schools appreciation, I would like to call on our school director, Mr. Rodolfo Vardeleon.

Mr. Rodolfo
Vardeleon

Welcome Remarks.

T. Jhonnel

Thank you, Sir. The school will always be grateful for its teachers and parents. For without them, and graces
from above, our purpose and mission will remain unfulfilled.

As Eleonor Roosevelt said, People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously .This is
how character is built.
Character is a trait that everyone wants. Its something parents want their children to learn, yet it is difficult to
define, can mean different things todifferent people, and requires practice to develop. According to Michele
Borba, noted author and educator, character is define as moral intelligence, the capacity to understand right

from wrong, have strong ethical convictions and to act on them so one behaves in the right and honorable way.
High Horizons put emphasis on character development, thus special awards are given at the end of the school
year to those deserving of merit and praise.
T.Jhonnel

The following deportment certificates of recognition are awarded to students who have exemplified a particular
value or conduct that this school strives to give importance. Each awardee was carefully scrutinized in order to
ensure that he or she is deserving of the commendation.
