HAT IS THE GREATER GAMES INDUSTRY CATALOG?


GGIC is a reference for retailers, publishers, buyers, and
distributors. The catalog is the only comprehensive collection of information
on game publishers, manufacturers, and importers. Inside GGIC you will
nd over 45,000 products, listing nearly 700 publishers and manufacturers.
We endeavor to list all known products which the manufacturer states are
currently in print and which are in general distribution in the USA, Canada,
Europe, the UK, Austrialia and and other countris. In each Edition of GGIC
there are 6,000 or more revisions and changes made before the catalog
goes to print.

hile we are the publishers of the Greater Games Industry Catalog,


we do not sell the games. We encourage you to contact the
publishers and their distributors to locate and purchase these products. If
you are an individual please contact stores in your area which stock games.
The Product Spotlight is a feature b&w section to make nding
new or featured products easier for the retailer or regular catalog
user. Categorized by game type (Board Game, Miniatures Game, Card
Gametes.), the Spotlight features an image of the new or featured product
and the Company name for ease of nding their particular catalog page.
(Since the catalog is alphabetized by company name, nding the new
product is easier by the company name than by the product name.)

We need;
1. - Images of your products
that you would like to feature
on your page, GREY SCALE
.TIF, 300 dpi. 3-5
inches wide, if you want
the image to appear larger
make them 5-7 inches wide,
clearly titled by item# or
item name (we can reduce
images but not enlarge
them, please keep this in
mind). Please Do Not
Send PDF, illustrator,
eps, Quark, FreeHand, or other
formates, they will not be accepted.
2. - Descriptions of the product images to serve as captions. This can
be just the prod# and Name, which is standard for miniatures companies,
if it is a game or rules book a description of the product is best. Include
the item# and retail price. If you need ideas as to what should be included
please contact me, Ill be happy to help.

Our Industry Features section presents articles that are salient to


professionals in all three tiers of the Greater Games Industry. Retailers,
distributors and publishers will enjoy insights written by industry
professionals on a wide variety of topics. Also included in this section are
company and product proles, and other important announcements from
important associations and sources within the industry.

3. A listing of your products in Excel or a spread sheet program


with no borders or grids. Start with the future release date (if not available
yet), product number, product name, Retail Price (not wholesale). If you do
the list in Word or another word processor use a plain text formate
with no borders or grids, the listing needs be formated with one tab
between each.

Listings are alphabetical and include their Standard Manufacturer Code.


You should use these codes along with the product number when listing your
products. All prices are the manufacturers suggested retail, or approximate
retail value if no retail is suggested. Standard listings (free listings) may
not exceed one page. The manufacturer will be notied if the listing is over
and will be given the opportunity to edit or condense their listing by the
submittal date, or upgrade to an Enhanced listing for $200.00 a year.

Enhanced Listings appear along with the alphabetical standard


listings but are upgraded to stand out with a company logo and capitalized
company name. Publishers pay a fee to stand out a bit. Enhanced listings
may exceed one page.

4. - Company Logo and/or product line logos (send these 5-6 in. wide,
GREY SCALE .TIF, 300 dpi.). Do Not Send any other format other than TIF.

Catalog Pages are the best advertising deal in the industry for as little
as $190 per page (when you use the Earlybird Deadline or sign up for an
Annual Program)! Catalog pages display images and descriptions of select
products chosen by the publisher along with their full listing. These pages
provide information and details about products that the standard and
enhanced listings do not. Publishers pay for Catalog Pages to showcase their
products.

**Do Not send PDFs they will be discarded.


**Do Not send order forms in any format they will be
discarded.

5. - For the Phone Listing in the back of the catalog we need full
contact info. address, phone, e-mail, web site, etc. If you have special sales
contact info please include that as well.
Regarding proofs. A proof may be requested when submitting
resources by or before deadline. We will send a proof of the page for
corrections to line listings, text, and images and send a corrected proof.
There will be an additional $10.00 charge for each time the page is opened
for changes after that.

Catalog pages differ from placement/insertion ads in look and appearance.


Catalog pages are created by our Design staff from the
information and images you provide and are designed to display items from
your product line and display your full product list. This includes information
you write up that is helpful to the retailer who is considering carrying your

Catalog pages are a great way to get the attention of the Retailers and
Distributors to familiarize them with your products. We also have an
assortment of color and b&w ad sizes to t your needs and your advertising
plan. We are very versatile! Choose the size right for you and your budget.

Our catalog is set up to be published every 3 months! To do this presets,
templates and links are incorporated into our design program for semiautomation. This allows us to give your page personal attention while
allowing our designers to work efciently and quickly to keep our overhead
low. We pass that savings on to you when you use the Earlybird Deadline or
sign up for an Annual Program!
