Definitions

1. Plot-The main events of a play, novel, movie, devised and


presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence.
2. Setting-The place and time which a novel or film will take place.
3. Point of view-The narrarator’s view of the story being told.

6. Alliteration- The occurrence of the same letter or sound at the
beginning of adjacent or closely connected words.
7. Allusion- An expression designed to call something to mind
without mentioning it explicitly.
8. Analogy- A comparison between two things, typically on the

clarification.
9. Antagonist- A person who actively opposes or is hostile to
someone or something.

offset more serious sections.

by rhyme that form a unit.

language that signifies the opposite effect.

38.Tragedy-A death of a main character or another main character.
