Preparation of zinc sulphate salt

(c)

About 50 cm3of 1 mol dm-3sulphuricacid is poured

into a beaker.
The beakercontainingthe sulphuricacid is heated
gently .
Zinc oxide powder is addedlittle by liule into the
warm sulphuric acid,
and stirred continuouslytill the zinc oxide powder no
longer dissolvesin the acid.
The excesszinc oxide is removedby filtering.
The solution ofzinc sulphate/tle filtrate is pouredinto
an evaporatingdish
and heateduntil it becomessaturated/ concentrated.
