AASROM (ADVANCE ACTION FOR SOCIAL & RURAL OPERATIVE

MISSION) Regd. no. RS/DAR/247/F/82 of 2006 has carried out
development work in the backword areas at Mangoldoi, Sipajhar,
Baihata Chariali, Bezera, Mirza, Boko of Darang and Kamrup(R)
districts of Assam. AASROM has implemented various welfare
programs with the help of public donation and from the help of
state govt. in the year 2011-12.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCES:
During this year it has organized two awareness campaign on
domestic violence, one program conducted in the Sipajhar village
and the other is at Mangaldoi of Darang district. It has maintained
a good report with the District Social Department is being well
inputs further for the society.
ADULT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME :
It is our moral duty to make each and every people literate of our
society. Accordingly AASROM has been running the adult
education program and community people actively participate in
it.
HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE:
An one day program on the use of contraceptives and family

planning methods was organized in Mirza village 5th July this year.

FARMER TRAINING PROGRAME:

In 2012 the AASROM took up the program of training for
unemployed young men and women in diary, poultry and piggery
harming around kharupetia area of Darang District.

Plantation:
Plantation is one of the main objectives of the AASROM to
make the country green. This year AASROM has planted
some valuable trees like Neem, Titasop, Segun, Saal etc.
in the road side areas, public places, schools, collages OF
Kamrup Rural.
FREE HEALTH CHECK UP & HEALTH AWARNESS PROGRAME
:
A free health check up program was organized in Dumni village on
14th January. Specialist of child and gynecology was taken to the
camp to give service to the people.72 nos. of women and 110
nos. children came to the camp and discuss their problems with
the doctors
YOUTH WELFARE:
For the welfare of the rural youth a vocational training program on
composite farming was conducted in the village Muktapur. The
training was provided in fish cultivation, goatery, diary and
piggery farming. Experts from Fishery and Vetanary Dept. took
the technical session of the training program. 59 nos. of youths
both male and female took part in the training program.
AIDS AND DRUG ABUSE AWARNESS PROGRAME:

High Way health check op centre for AIDS control and Drug Abuse
was organized at BOC, Baihata Chariali of Kamrup rural on 5 th
December, 2012.

Kamrup(R) districts of Assam. AASROM has implemented various
welfare programs with the help of public donation and from the
help of state govt. in the year 2010-11.
The details of the projects implemented this year by the
organization have been given below.
1. MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH CARE: With an objective to
educate the rural women and community people as a whole
regarding Mother and Child health Care, a one day long program
was organized in Narakashur H.S. School, on 14 th October, 2010.
2. ADULT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM: It is our moral duty to

make each and every people literate of our society. Accordingly

AASROM has been running the adult education program and
community people actively participate in it.
3. HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE: An one day program on the
use of contraceptives and family planning methods was organized
in Kharupetia on 5th July2011 .
4. CULTURAL ACTIVIES & TREE PLANTATION: To encourage
the rural youths and children, cultural competitions were
conducted and road side tree plantation program was
implemented on the occasion of Mahg- Bihu. Many youths and
children were participated in the program.

The details of the projects implemented this year by the
organization have been given below.
1. DISASTER AWARNESS PROGRAM : An awareness program on
natural disaster was organized in Dibrugar on 10 th April,
2010.Experts had trained the participants how to response

during and after the disaster. There were 55 nos. of participants

including youth, farmer and govt. Service men from the District.
2. HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE CUM HIV/AIDS AWARNESS
PROGRAM: An one day program on the use of contraceptives
and family planning methods was organized in Jorabat.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL AWARNESS PROGRAME: Two days
Training program on environmental awareness and biodiversity
conservation with field activities for GOVT, and Private
School Teachers was organized on 5th & 6th May, 2010 at
Mangaldoi , where 82 nos teachers were participated.
4. SHG TRAINING PROGRAMME: SHG promoted by the
organization are running very well. They have also been providing
adequate training as well for management of the groups. A 2days
training program was organized in Guwahati, on 13 th & 14th
October in this year.
