Florence,ITALY - March 11, 2010 -- The short architecture course has very practi

guided visits to the world renowned architectural masterpieces, with the course
divided into three sections exploring the piazzas, the churches and the palazzo s
of Florence. On site sketching and photography sessions develop analysis techni
ques and allow for in depth study of the architecture. Discussions on the archi
tectural masterpieces dating from the Renaissance to the Modernist period will r
ange from their urban and cultural significance to building techniques and mater

The professor for the course is Prof. Karin Templin, who currently teaches archi

practicing architects that have never been to the great cities of Florence or Ro
me and I think there is a market for the professional who would like to visit or
even revisit Florence with other architects on a guided architectural tour". Th
e course emphasis is on providing a practical view for architects who are from v
aried backgrounds ranging from urban designers to project designers to historica
l preservationists.
Student intake at the Florence Institute is totally international, and in the wo
rds of one student from Denmark the course was the best course I ve ever taken! .
