Weight of block +weight added

From the data on Table 1:

Coefficient
Trial (W block + Weight added ) Wb (W pan + Weight added ) Wp of friction,

1 262.7 g 81.8 g 0.31

2 282.7 g 101.8 g 0.36
3 362.7 g 171.8 g 0.47
4 502.7 g 221.8 g 0.44
5 592.7 g 241.8 g 0.41

Average coefficient of friction, 0.40

From the graph, it shows that the values of the coefficient of friction lie on
the slope of the line. When the values obtained are plotted, it seemed to have a line
leaning to the right, especially to the slope of the curve which is equivalent to the
coefficient of friction. However, the slope of the curve somehow varies from point
to point, giving us unstable value of coefficient of friction, especially on the third
trial wherein we accumulated the value of 0.47 as the highest among the 5 values.
It may be from the errors upon the experiment because of the manual-based
procedure we have done.
Based on these data, the coefficient of friction on wood surface to another
wood surface ranges from 0.31 to 0.41. From the results, the obtained average
coefficient of friction is relatively closer to the accepted value of coefficient of
friction on woods which range from 0.2-0.5 on dry woods.
