How to Conjugate French Verbs: CONDITIONAL TENSE


For the conditional tense in French the appropriate endings will be
added to the infinitive of the verb. For verbs ending in -RE, remove
the final e before adding the ending. There are several verbs that
use an irregular stem instead of the infinitive. They are listed further
below.

-Conditional Tense Endings

tu = AIS

vous = IEZ

il, elle, on = AIT

ils, elles = AIENT

How to Conjugate French Verbs: IMPERFECT TENSE


For the imperfect tense in French, remove the last 2 letters from the
verb (either ar, ir, or re) and then add the appropriate ending.
Unlike the present tense, the imperfect endings will be the same for all
three verb endings, -er, -ir, and re.
So remove the ending (-er, -ir, -re) and add:

For the present tense in French, remove the last 2 letters from the verb

parler (to speak), you would remove the -er and add one of the
following endings:
