A Quick Guide to Install CryptoCam or CryptoServer

(Applied to I-400, I-500. I-510, S-121, S-131 and S-152)

1. Install Client Viewer Software on Your PC

Install MPEG4 A/V Communicator on your PC

The software is on a installation CD packaged with CryptoCam (or CryptoServer) or can be

downloaded on CryptoTelecoms web site;

The software is installed at C:\Program Files\CryptoTelecom\MPEG4 Communicator

2. Check Your Local Network Setting

Run Prompt Window

Type ipconfig

IP address of CryptoCam (or CryptoServer) is set to 192.168.1.8. Users should change the IP
address if it is not according to the default gateway of your network.

3. Connect CryptoCam (or CryptoServer) to Your PC with LAN Cross Cable

4. Change the IP Address of CryptoCam (or CryptoServer) Using IP Utility

Run IP Utility

Click IP Find button to scan CryptoCam (or CryptoServer) installed on your network

Then, the network values of CryptoCam (or CryptoServer) are shown on the table. Double click the
scanned IP address.

Enter a new IP address of CryptoCam according to your local network setting. (e.g. if IP address of
your PC 192.168.0.11, then IP of CryptoCam must be 192.168.0.X which is not pre-assigned.)

Enter Default Gateway as shown on the figure 2-1.

Enter SubNet Mask as shown on the figure 2-2.

Enter password. Default password is admin.

Click IP Change Button

5. View Live Images from CryptoCam Using Web Browser

Enter IP address of CryptoCam on URL of Internet Explorer.

Click Administrators Page to set up configurations. (to be reviewed later)

Click Connect to see live images on web viewer.

Enter ID & PW as shown on the figure 5-2. Default values are root & root.

Click the lock icon to view live images

Then, live images can be viewed on web viewer.

6. Connect CryptoCam Directly to the Internet Line (Router, IP-shared Device)

If you follow the steps above and see the live images, it means that CryptoCam are ready to work on
local connection (LAN). In order to make CryptoCam accessible from the Internet, you should assign
ports to CryptoCam and make port forwarding on administrator page of your router.

Remove cross LAN cable between PC and CryptoCam

Connecting CryptoCam directly to your router(or IP-shared device) as shown on figure 6-1.

7. Make CryptoCam Accessible from the Internet

Click Administrators Page button to access Administrators Page of CryptoCam. (Refer to 5-2 )

Check DNS Server .

One of the two values should be 211.176.62.86 which is the address of CryptoTelecoms central operation
server named PIMA(Refer to each manual or CryptoTelecoms web site for more detailed information). One
is according to your ISPs DNS server.

Assign ports to CryptoCam

The number of port differs according to CryptoTelecoms product models.
In case more than 2 CryptoCams are installed on the same network segment. You should check User
Port radio button and assign new ports to CryptoCam.

 Each port must not be shared.

Popular applications might use the ports below 1000 so that you are recommended to assign ports over
1000.

7-2 Port Forwarding on your own routers Setup Page

How to make port forwarding differs according to kinds of router.
From more detailed information, please consult your network manager or refer to router manual.

Go to port forwarding menu on your routers setup page.

Open the assigned ports (e.g. 9000, 9001 for I-400, web port 80 is a basic port always open) on the
IP address of CryptoCam

e.g. port numbers 4000 to 4004 has been opened on 192.168.0.153 for both TCP and UDP protocol..
