If you are wondering why we are referencing Install.bat or license.txt and you
only see the file names without ".bat" or ".txt" it is because file extensions for
common file types are hidden on your computer. If you wish to enable them, follow
this Microsoft Article:
Show or hide file name extensions
Before you start the installation, it is recommended that you close any applications
that are already running. This is primarily because there is a chance that you will
have to restart the computer along the way. Moreover, antivirus programs running in
the background can cause problems as they may e.g. lock files needed during the
installation.

Run/double-click SAS_9.4_Software_Depot_Win64.part1.exe
(In certain cases it might be necessary to right-click and select Run as
Administrator)

Select Extract
The following window appears and the extraction process takes a while.
When the window disappears, you have finished extracting the files.

Install
Go to C:\SAS_Software Depot, run/double-click Install.bat
(If this doesn't work, try to right-click and select Run as administrator)

At this point, you can choose the location where you wish to install SAS.
Afterwards select Next.
You are being asked for the location of the license. Select Browse

Navigate to where you saved the license and select it. Click Open

Depending on your computer, Stage 1 may vary. The installation of the system
requirements may take some time, and multiple reboots may be required along the
way.
If you get this prompt, just press OK. NB: Save your work as it will reboot your
system.

On some occasions, the installation doesn't remember the options selected after a
restart. You will then see the window below. In that case, the best option is to select
Cancel

After Stage 1, the installation will take some time, but for now you don't need to do
anything. When the installation is complete, you will have the choice of proceeding.

Known Issues
SAS Simulation Studio
After installing SAS, and try to start up SAS Simulation Studio, you might see the
following message:
If this happens, just click OK. After this you are going to see the SAS Simulation
Studio Configuration Window:

To get past this error, right click on the SAS Simulation Studio and use the option
Run as Administrator:
Then you will see this window again. But this time navigate to your SASHome folder
and click OK.

If you don't see any of the paths, you need to enable Hidden Files and Folders in
Windows.

Attach all files with names beginning with "deploywiz" and "SDW". Alternatively zip
the entire SASDeploymentWizard folder and send it.
