Main Aim: To develop Ss speaking IN THE context of a personal calendar

Sub Aim: To develop Ss listening skills in this context


Materials: SB 38, 39, Audio CD from the SB
Assumptions: Ss might be aware of most of the vocabulary used to express
important events
They have fair knowledge to express the simple present, past and future tense.
Personal aim: I will monitor the class well and will provide the feedback in all the
activities.
Skill analysis:
Sub Skills: Focus on vocabulary in the context
The context: personal calendar events
Anticipated problems with the skills: The Ss come from different background and
culture so might not be familiar with different event days in a calendar year.
Might have difficulty expressing vocab with correct pronunciation for the same
Solutions: revising and introducing the important vocab in the context (drilling x3 or
4)
