Hi, This was the procedure for older versions: 1. update the object_name for the Planning type in HSP_OBJECT table ( the object_id range will be 100 103 ) 2. update the TYPE_NAME in HSP_PLAN_TYPE 3. rename the Essbase databases in the AAS console 4. restart HyperionRMIRegistry Service and HyperionPlanning web App server You may want to test this first though. Hope this helps. Seb www.taysols.com.au o o

2. update the TYPE_NAME in HSP_PLAN_TYPE

Hi, We are doing the migration of Hyperion Planning from V9.3.1.1 to V11.1.2.1. During migration they is a requirement to rename the Essbase database. As per this blogs, below are suggested steps. However while renaming the name in "HSP_OBJECT" table, it's taking more than half hour & the query is not executing. 1. update the object_name for the Planning type in HSP_OBJECT table ( the object_id range will be 100 103 ), And two fields need to rename that include Object_Name and Old_Name. 2. update the TYPE_NAME in HSP_PLAN_TYPE 3. rename the Essbase databases in the AAS console 4. restart HyperionRMIRegistry Service and HyperionPlanning web App server Thanks.

Another option is to first migrate the app and convert it to 11.1.2.1 as it stands. Then create another blank application with the desired database names. Then use LCM to export the original application out. Then just browse to the directory and rename all references to the old database names to the new database names. Then use LCM to import the modified export into the new application. o o

Make sure you have stopped all the services before making any changes to planning as there are a number of products that can have a lock on the tables.
