notice soon enough. The 15 excused members do not include 3 who dropped out from LCG without notice and 3 who lost good
membership standing as of Aug during the evaluation for endorsement to the Renewal Formation.
The meeting started at 2:16 PM with Jonas presiding the meeting. Jonas led the opening prayer.
I. Review of Minutes of Previous Meeting
The minutes of the July 12, 2015 meeting were approved with corrections.
II. Matters Arising from the Minutes
1. Jonas reported that the LC training for the complete rites of the Novena to our Mother of Perpetual Help was held last July
18. Four LCs attended. Marissa B was the trainer and Rex F gave a talk. The complete novena started last August 5 and
will continue every Wednesday at 5:30 PM in time for the 6PM mass.
2. Jonas will ask the Parish Pastoral Council if the novena to St Jude may be prayed every Thursday. Ester volunteered to
provide Jonas a copy of the prayer novena to St Jude.
3. During the 6AM ad 12 NN masses on Fridays, the Prayer of Sacrifice shall not be replaced by the Act of Consecration to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus as suggested by Fr Shibu because the prayer is already said during the Novena to the Sacred Heart.
The Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is also prayed during the 6PM mass on Fridays as part of the Holy
Hour.
4. Since LCs from the Parish Youth Ministry and Campus Ministry-Student Liturgical Group have attended the Basic Formation
last Aug 15, Geosle inquired when they may be invited to apply to LCG. Jonas responded that MemCom may send
application forms to them through Nanette for PYM and through Rogelio Nato for SLG. Other members of these ministries
who have attended the Basic or Renewal Formation in the past may also be invited to apply in LCG.
III. Committee Reports
1. LitCom
a. T. Rex was absent. He sent the LitCom report for discussion.
b. Members were asked to fill out a survey on updated preference schedule and/or availability for mass service.
c. From the LitCom report, reminders were discussed regarding the following: Feast of St Lawrence, Solemnity of
the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Feast of St Bartholomew and Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed
Virgin Mary. Members were asked to take note of errors in the ORDO, eg, the Feast of St Bartholomew was
indicated as a memorial and the recitation of the Credo was prescribed for the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed
Virgin Mary.
d. LitCom will prepare a report on members attendance in mass services.
e. LitCom will come up with a report on persisting scheduling problems.
2. MemCom
a. Geosle reported that Cayen and Marize have attended the Basic Formation last Aug 15. They were joined by 4
LCs from SLG (out of 9 trainees) and 2 from PYM (out of 3 trainees who have not attended the Basic Formation).
b. Thirty-nine LCG members have been recommended by MemCom and LitCom, and have been approved by
Jonas, for endorsement to the Renewal Formation to be held on Sept 19. The 39 members are from the 47
regular members as of September last year. Members who were not endorsed are: 1 who resigned, 1 on LOA, 3
who dropped-out (left without notice) and 3 who have lost good standing due to low mass service and meeting

attendance. There were actually 4 who were not in good standing but one requested for reinstatement and the
request was approved.
Half of the P100 Renewal Formation fee may be shouldered by the Parish. The body voted on the following
options regarding soliciting for Parish contribution:
Option A: A member will pay P100 and the Parish will not be asked for any contribution 6 votes
Option B: A member will pay P50 and the Parish will be asked to shoulder the other P50 8 votes
Option C: A member will pay P100 and the Parish will be asked to shoulder P50; the Parish contribution
will form part of LCG funds 8 votes
Option D: A member will pay P100 and the Parish will be asked to shoulder P50; the member will decide
if the Parish contribution will be refunded to the member or will form part of LCG funds 0 vote
Since there was a tie between Options B and C, a second voting was held. Option B had 3 votes while Option C
had 16.
Alice informed the group that the Parish contribution for the Renewal Seminar may be requested using a budget
form available at the Parish office.
During the meeting, Ester collected P100 from each member for the Renewal Seminar.
To go to the Renewal Formation, there will be carpools courtesy of RB, Des, Rex F. and Geosle.

3.

FinCom
a. Ester reported that as of August 7, 2015, LCG fund is P12,180, which is the amount that Cyhsi (the outgoing
FinCom head) forwarded to her. Love offering last July was P790, bringing the total LCG funds to P12,970.
b. Geosle suggested to FinCom to report before the meeting ends the love offering collected for the day.
c. Jonas brought up the idea of an annual membership fee to form the groups reserve fund. After some discussion,
it was agreed that the Parish contribution of P50 per person who attends the Renewal Formation will be the
annual membership fund. Voluntary monthly love offering will continue to be collected and there will be no
monthly fees collected from the members.
d. Deo suggested that LCG should have an annual plan so that appropriate budgets may be allocated. Jonas
instructed Ester and FormCom to coordinate regarding the upcoming FormCom activities and budget.

4.

FormCom
a. Robert was not present.
b. Given Roberts work assignment that will not allow him to attend LCG Sunday meetings, Geosle suggested for
FormCom to have an assistant to be assigned by Robert.
