RETAINER AGREEMENT

NOW THEREFORE IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
I. ENGAGEMENT OF CIPS
The Client hereby agrees to retain CIPS as legal representative in order to represent him or her
and to carry out the necessary activities with respect the Clients application to sponsor a
member of the Family Class for Canadian permanent resident status.

II. DUTIES OF CIPS


CIPS undertakes to provide the following services:
1. Assess the Clients qualifications
2. Assist the Client in the preparation of the Canadian Government application forms;
3. Advise the Client as to which documents are required in support of the application;
4. Review and analyze the documents received in support of the Clients financial
ability to sponsor, work experience, civil status and relationship to the sponsored
family member;
5. Work closely with the Client to obtain evidence of a genuine and continuing
relationship with the person being sponsored, and which is consistent with
Canadian Immigration requirements;
6. Prepare a detailed cover letter, addressed to the appropriate Canadian Immigration
Office, outlining the Clients ability to sponsor and supporting the Clients family
members candidacy for a Canadian Immigrant Visa;
7. Conduct a final review of the Clients application and related forms, supporting
documents and Canadian government processing fees;
8. Submit the Clients application package to the appropriate Canadian Immigration
Office and verify its arrival;
9. Track the Clients file through the immigration process so as to facilitate the
issuance of the permanent resident visa(s) in a timely fashion;
10. Make additional written representations to the Canadian Visa Office and/or to other
related Canadian Government agencies as deemed necessary.

III. DUTIES OF THE CLIENT
The Client agrees to:
1. Provide to CIPS all information requested by CIPS and by the Canadian
Immigration Authorities in a timely, accurate, honest and forthright manner;
2. Execute all forms and provide all supporting documents and information as
requested by CIPS in a timely manner and have same translated accurately into
either the English or French language;
3. Fully disclose to CIPS all information related to any and all current or prior criminal
charges and/or convictions, as well as any health problems suffered by the Client or
the Clients sponsored family members or his/her accompanying dependents;
4. Immediately advise CIPS of any and all written or telephone communication
received by the Client from Canadian Immigration Authorities, and to provide
copies to CIPS of all correspondence received by Canadian Immigration Authorities;
5. Immediately advise CIPS of any changes relating to the Clients or the Clients
sponsored family members personal circumstances (i.e. marriage, divorce, birth of
a child, change of address, etc.)
6. Demonstrate possession of sufficient funds, if necessary, so as to be able to support
the Clients sponsored family members and their accompanying dependents upon
their arrival in Canada, in accordance with the norms and guidelines established by
Canadian Immigration Authorities;
The Client Acknowledges and Agrees that:
1. The Clients application(s) must be filed with the Canadian visa post which has
geographic responsibility for the country in which the Clients sponsored family
members have been lawfully admitted and have resided for a period of at least one
(1) year. Otherwise, the application for Permanent Residence in Canada must be
filed with the Canadian visa post that has geographic responsibility for their
country of nationality.
2. Changes to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act or Regulations
promulgated thereunder are possible, and could have an effect on the Client's or the
Clients sponsored family members Immigration application(s).
3. Upon signing this Agreement, should the Client at any time decide to retain other
counsel and/or transfer their file from CIPS to other counsel in connection with
their Immigration matters, or if the Client should decide to discontinue the
processing of their application(s), then all fees owing to CIPS in connection with
their case will become immediately due and payable to CIPS, and any/all monies
on deposit with CIPS will become immediately payable to CIPS.
The Client Hereby Warrants that all information that the Client may provide to CIPS is truthful
and accurate, and that any inaccuracies with respect to that information may seriously affect
the approval of the Clients or the Clients family members application(s) for Permanent
Residence or the retention of landed immigrant status after having landed in Canada.

IV. CIPS Internal Complaint Procedure
Should the Client have a complaint with regards to the specific services provided, the Client is
compelled to raise their complaints directly with Adam Blum of CIPS when they are not
satisfied with specific services. This will allow the Client and CIPS an opportunity to attempt to
resolve these issues in a prompt and amicable manner. These include complaints related to fee
disputes, failure to respond to requests for information and the preservation of client property. If
such complaints do arise, the Client must file a formal complaint in writing, by registered mail
or commercial courier, to the attention of: Adam Blum, Canadian Immigration Problem Solvers
Ltd., 7030 Woodbine Avenue, Suite #500, Markham, Ontario, Canada, L3R 6G2. The Client
must provide the following details in making their complaint:

Clients complete name and contact information

A written and detailed statement regarding the nature of the complaint

The dates or specific timeline of events

Description of Clients concerns

What CIPS can do to address and/or resolve the Clients concerns

What the Client hopes to see happen as a result of their complaint

CIPS will have 30 days from the date the complaint is received from the Client in order to
provide a response to the Client.

V. CIPS PROFESSIONAL FEES*
The Client agrees to pay as follows from one of the following payment options. P lease place a

checkmark next to the payment option you would like to use:


*All fees are subject to 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)
Option One Payment in Full
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The sum of CAN $2495, due upon acceptance of this agreement, after
which CIPS shall begin the processing of the Clients application to sponsor a member of the
Family Class for Canadian permanent resident status.
Option Two Payment in Two Installments
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The sum of CAN $1250, due upon acceptance of this agreement, after
which CIPS shall begin the processing of the Clients application to sponsor a member of the
Family Class for Canadian permanent resident status.
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The sum of CAN $1250, due upon completion and submission of the
Clients application to the Canadian Immigration Authorities.
Option Three Payment in Three Installments
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The sum of CAN $800, due upon acceptance of this agreement, after which
CIPS shall begin the processing of the Clients application to sponsor a member of the Family
Class for Canadian permanent resident status.
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The sum of CAN $850 will be due upon completion and submission of the
Clients application to the Canadian Immigration Authorities.
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The sum of CAN $850 will be due upon receiving confirmation from the
Immigration Departments Case Processing Centre that the Clients sponsorship application has
been approved.
Option Four Payment in Six Installments
TO CIPS IN TRUST: The Client agrees to pay six (6) equal instalments of CAN $416.66
according to the following timeline, in return for the services to be provided by CIPS as set out in
this agreement:

1st Instalment: Due upon acceptance of this agreement


2nd Instalment: Due 30 days following the acceptance of this agreement:
3rd Instalment: Due 60 days following the acceptance of this agreement:
4th Instalment: Due 90 days following the acceptance of this agreement
5th Instalment: Due 120 days following the acceptance of this agreement
6th Instalment: Due 150 days following the acceptance of this agreement

VI. METHOD OF PAYMENT
Cheque, Money Order or Bank Draft
If paying by cheque, money order or bank draft, write a single cheque for the full amount, or a
series of post-dated cheques, according to your preferred payment schedule from the options
above. Please make all cheques payable to Canadian Immigration Problem Solvers Ltd.
Bank / Wire Transfer
If you wish to pay by bank or wire transfer, please contact us for our account information.

If paying by credit card, please complete the following information along with your signature
and the date you signed this agreement. Place a checkmark in the appropriate box to indicate
your preferred payment plan. Please note the credit card payments can only be processed in
Canadian funds.

CIPS provides the services described in this agreement in return for payment of the fees and
subject to the terms and conditions set out.
Any fees charged by Citizenship and Immigration Canada or that of any Canadian Visa Office,
or that of any other government or government department is the sole responsibility of The Client.
Fees incurred in obtaining medical examinations, police clearances, photographs or any other fees
relating to the above mentioned application(s) are the sole responsibility of The Client.
Approval of any application submitted to Citizenship and Immigration Canada or any Canadian
Visa Office cannot be guaranteed.
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province
of Ontario, and shall be binding upon the parties hereto, and upon (a) their respective
representatives, successors and assigns and (b) the heirs of any individual that is a party hereto.
For the purpose of all legal proceedings, this Agreement shall be deemed to have been performed
in the Province of Ontario and the courts of the Province of Ontario shall have jurisdiction to
entertain any action arising under this Agreement. Each party hereto attorns to the jurisdiction of
the courts of the Province of Ontario.

THE CLIENT acknowledges receipt of an executed copy of this Agreement and by the client's signature
below, the client states that the client understands and agrees to all of the terms and conditions as stipulated
herein. This quotation, if accepted, shall constitute a binding agreement.
By submitting this application form, the Client is providing consent to CIPS to collect, use and disclose
his/her personal information as set out in CIPS Privacy Policy. The Client acknowledges that they have
reviewed CIPS Privacy Policy or has been offered the opportunity to review said policy and have declined
to do so at this time.
