UMRAH

Before leaving from the hotel:

Make Ghusl (full body wash)

Perform TWO Rakaats of Salah

When going out of the hotel, say : BISMILLAHI, TAWAKKALTU 'ALALLAHI, WA

LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWATTA ILLAH BILLAH

Before leaving the taxi:

Make Du'aa: ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR. SUBHAA
NALATHEE, SAKHARALANAA HATHAA WA MAA KUNAA, LAHU MUQRINEENA
WA INNAA ILAA RABBINAA LAMUNQALEBOON
MAKE NIYYAH IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE AND SAY: ALLAAHUMMA INNEE UREEDUL
UMRATA FAYASSIRHAALEE MINNEE WATAQABBALHAA
Immediately after that utter the words of Talbiyah THREE times and as often
afterwards as possible.
TABIYAH "Labbayk, Allahumma Labbayk. Labbayk. La shareeka laka.
Labbayk.Innal-hamda wan-n'imata laka wal-mulk. La shareeka lak." Here I am, O
Lord, here I am, You indeed have no partner, here I am No Doubt, all praise and
bounties are yours, and so is the absolute Domain. You indeed have no partners,
here I am
When this sacred journey towards Makkah alMukarrama starts, recite Talbiyah
frequently on the way. TwHEN YOU ENTER THE CITY enter the city very humbly
and with great fondness still reciting Talbiyah.
After this recite Darud Sharif and supplicate to Allah Almighty any du'a in Arabic
or in your own language.
ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA
SALLAITA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.
ALLAHUMMA BAARIK ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA

BAARAKTA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.

Entering Masjid Al haram: While reciting Talbiyah, enter Masjid Al haram
preferably through Bab Assalam with right foot first and say: Bismillahi
wassalatuwassalamu ala rasulillah. Allahummaftah lee abwaba rahmatik
FIRST SIGHT OF KA'BAH, KEEP YOUR EYES FIXED AT BAITULLAH AND STANDING AT
ONE SIDE SAY: ALLAHU AKBAR LA ILAHA ILALLAH (THREE TIMES) AND THEN SAY:
ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA
SALLAITA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.
ALLAHUMMA BAARIK ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA
BAARAKTA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.
THIS IS A SPECIAL TIME FOR ACCEPTANCE OF PRAYERS. AFTER THIS MOVE
FORWARD TO PERFORM TAWAF
TAWAF
1. 1. Iztaba:.Pass the upper sheet of Ihram from underneath the right arm and
put it on the left shoulder. This act bares the right shoulder.
2. ABLUTIONS (WUDU) IS ESSENTIAL FOR TAWAF.
3. RECITING OF TALBIYAH IS STOPPED WHEN YOU REACH HAJAR-E- ASWAD,
THIS IS THE THE STARTING POINT OF TAWAF.
4. Niyyah (Intention): Stand in front of Ka bah facing Hajar-e-Aswad (the Black
Stone) in such a way that the whole Hajre-e-Aswad is on your right side. To
achieve this end, you may get help from the black stripe on the floor. This
stripe should be on your right side. Then WITHOUT raising your hands make
Niyyah (intention) for Umrah: " O ALLAH, I PERFORM TAWAF OF UMRAH TO
PLEASE YOU. MAKE IT EASY FOR ME AND ACCEPT IT FROM ME."
5. Then do Istilam: Come in front of Hajr Aswad and kiss it if possible or touch

it with a stick and kiss the stick, if that is also not possible, RAISE YOUR
HANDS TO YOUR EARS KEEPING YOUR OPEN PALMS TOWARDS HAJR ASWAD
AND SAY : BISMILLAHI ALLAHU AKBAR WA LILLA HIL HAMD. Then drop
your hands down then point the palms of your hand to hajar aswad and kiss
your palms.
6. After Istilam, turn right and start tawaf counter clockwise. During tawaf, it is
not permissible to face or turn your back towards Ka'bah except when you
are kissing or pointing towards Hajar-e-Aswad. Men are required to move
their shoulders and walk with quick short steps.This act is called Ramal and
it is Sunnah. They walk normally during the remaining four circuits.

7. Supplications fo Tawaf:

SUBHANALLAH WALHAMDULILLAHI WA LA ILAHA ILALLAH WA ALLAHU

AKBAR WA LA HAULA QUWATTA ILA BILLA

SUBHANALLAH, ALHAMDULILLAH, ALLAHU AKBAR, LA ILAHA ILALLAH

Seek forgiveness of ALLAH and ask him whatever you wish in your own
language.

8. When you reach the fourth corner known as Rukn Yamani. Touch it with both
hands or with right hand. There is a beautiful supplication to be used while
walking between Rukn Yamani and Hajar-e-Aswad: "RABBANA ATINA FIDDUNYA HASANATAN WA FIL-AKHIRATI HASANATAN WA QINA AZABIN-NAR."
The first circuit is complete when you reach Hajar-e-Aswad.
9. Dua while walking between Rukn Yamani and Black Stone: "RABBANA ATINA
FID-DUNYA HASANATAN WA FIL-AKHIRATI HASANATAN WA QINA AZABINNAR."

Every circuit always start at hajr aswad by pointing POINTING To it OR

kissing It. Come in front of HAJAR ASWAD. RAISE BOTH HAND TO YOUR EARS
AND SAY: BISMILLAHI ALLAHUAKBAR WA LILLA HIL HAMD.
11.

Now kiss both palms and drop your hands.After this go around Ka'bah

as you did before.

12.

At the end of the seven circuit stand in front of hajr aswad and RAISE

BOTH HAND TO YOUR EARS AND SAY: BISMILLAHI ALLAHUAKBAR WA LILLA

HIL HAMD.
13.

Now Iztaba is finished, therfore, Men cover your both shoulders with

upper portion of Ihram sheet

AFTER COMPLETING TAWAF COME TO MAQAAM E IBRAHIM AND SAY:

"WATTAKHIDHU MIN MAQAMI IBRAHEEM MUSALLA.
Then offer two rakahs of nafls behind and close to Maqam Ibrahim without
covering your head. Recite Qul ya ayya hal kafroon in the first rakah and Qulhu
wallah in the second rakah. After this, supplicate to Allah in Arabic or in your own
language. Ask Him whatever you wish and invoke His blessings. If it is not possible
to offer this obligatory prayer near Maqam Ibrahim, it can be offered anywhere in
Mataf, or in Hatim or anywhere in Masjid al-Haram or even at any place in Haram
of Makkah
THEN GO TO ZAMZAM:
BEFORE DRINKING SAY BISMILLAH THEN SAY: ALLAHUMMA INNI ASALUKA ILM-AN
WA RIZQAN WAASIAN WA SHIFA AM MIN KULLI DAIN

THEN DO ISTILAM OF HAJR ASWAD AGAIN: BISMILLAHI ALLAHU AKBAR WA LILLA

HIL HAMD
NOW GO TO SAFA AND MARWA
1. CLIMB THE HILL OF SAFA AND MAKE NIYYAH AND SAY: INNA ASSAFAWAL
MARWAMIN SHAAIRILLAH
2. AFTER THIS CLIMB SAFA UNTIL YOU CAN SEE KABAH THEN FACE KABAH
RAISE YOUR HAND AND SAY ALLAHU AKBAR ( THREE TIMES) THAN ASK
ALLAH WHATEVER YOU WISH.
3. WHILE MOVING TO MARWA SAY: SUBHANALLAH WAL HAMDULILLAHIWA LA
ILAHA ILALLAH WA ALLAHU AKBAR WA LA HAULA QUWATTA ILA BILLA
4. THEN ASK MERCY OF FORGIVENESS OF ALLAH AND MAKE DUA ON YOUR
LANGUAGE
5. IF MEN REACH GREEN PILLARS MEN HAVE TO RUN BETWEEN IT.
6. AFTER SAFA AND MARWA PRAY TWO RAK'ATS
7. WHILE COMING OUT OF MASJID AL HARAM A PERSON SHOULD KEPP FIRST
THE LEFT FOOT OUT THEN SAY: BISMILLAHI WASSALATU
WASSALAMU ALA RASULILAH ALAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA MIN FADLIKA
8. SHAVE/CLIP HAIR THEN REMOVE IHRAM
