SPEAKING TEST
What do I need to know about my Speaking Test?

The test will start punctually at the time stated on your Confirmation of Entry and you must arrive 15 minutes before
the scheduled time.
You should wait outside the examination hall until you are called.
Valid DNI, Passport or Driving Licence. Expired identity documents will not be accepted.

o Just before the Speaking Test you will be asked to complete a CANDIDATE INFORMATION SHEET for
statistical purposes. Your data will be held securely, under the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act.
o Just after the Speaking test, and before you leave the exam premises, you will have your photo taken.
Each paper will start punctually at the times stated. If you are late, it is possible that you will not be permitted to sit
the exam.
You must arrive at least 20 minutes before the starting time of the first exam paper to locate your table with your
candidate number, which is given on your Confirmation of Entry document.
Please consult your Confirmation of Entry document to find out exact time of all the exam papers.
IMPORTANT
NEW REGULATIONS ABOUT THE USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Please note that from January 2015 new rules regarding the possession of mobile
phones and any other of electronic devices in the examining rooms apply. Mobile phones
and any other electronic devices brought to the venue will be collected at the beginning
of Exam Paper 1 and kept under supervision by the British Council staff until after the last
exam paper (Listening) has finished.
Under no circumstances will candidates be allowed access to their mobiles or other
devices during break times or in between papers.
The British Council will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal effects while at
the test venue
We strongly recommend that where possible, mobile phones or other electronic devices
are not brought to the exam venue on the day of the exam

General information
What if I cannot attend my exam?

Please note that Cambridge English will only accept request for refunds if they are based on medical grounds. If
this is the case, please submit a letter in person, by post or email to the British Council Examinations Services,
together with an official medical certificate signed and stamped by a medical practitioner and a copy of your
Statement of Entry.
If the request is accepted by Cambridge English, this will be processed in August/September 2015. Please note a
47 administration expense fee will be deducted from the exam fee refund.
If you find a mistake in any of your personal data on the attached Confirmation of Entry, you should notify the
invigilator assigned to your area on the day of the written test.
Please check your Confirmation of Entry to find out the results release date. Please note that you will need the ID
and Secret number stated on the Confirmation of Entry document to access to your online results. Certificates will
be available in October 2015.
