How to Roll Clothes

Three Methods:

T-shirts

Pants

Socks

Rolling clothes is a good way to fit more into your suitcase without wrinkling
anything. So if you need ten pairs of some sort of clothing for a three day
vacation, or you just like to travel easily with a fairly wrinkle-free outcome, this
how-to is for you.

Method 1 of 3: T-shirts

Lay the t-shirts flat. Bring the ends of the sleeves together and fold the shirt in
half down the back.

Lay each t-shirt on one side. Place the arms onto the body of the folded shirt,
keeping them together, and then roll down from the collar.

Method 3 of 3: Socks

If you want to fold your socks, place one beneath another, with the top one
about two inches (5cm) below the bottom one. It is more efficient to fold all of

your socks together, so align the rest of them in the same way, with each about two
inches (5cm) shifted down from the one below it.

Roll from the first sock on the bottom, with the first roll coming right to the
top of the second sock.

Tips
After you roll your clothes, be sure to place them in the suitcase with
the opening in the roll against the bottom; otherwise, they will come
unrolled and get wrinkled. Placing them against each other puts slight
pressure on the bundle and has the same effect.
Try using a simple rubber band to hold the rolls in place. Just make
sure the rubber band is not too tight or it may wrinkle the fabric.
Lay dress pants on a flat surface so that creases meet. With even
pressure (not too tight, not too loose) roll pants starting from waist to
hem. This will prevent creases from appearing at the knees.

Warnings
Be aware that rolling clothes can result in tearing of any delicate fabrics
if the suitcase is over-packed.
Rolling clothes conserves space, but don't stuff more articles into the
suitcase than can actually fit. If you do this, the rolls will get squished
and your clothes will likely get creased after all.
