Our concept
We want our music video to be based around the

theme of procrastination as this is constantly repeated

throughout the lyrics of the song.
The lyrics of the song can relate to a wide range of
people of different ages and genders and so because of
this we want to include a variety of people in our
video.

Challenging conventions
We want to include a variety of people in our video

and not the artist and so this goes against a lot of

singer/songwriter music videos as they will include the
artist e.g. Ed Sheeran, Jake Bugg.
Humour- We want to experiment with the idea of
making our music video funny since the lyrics of the
song are very humorous. We want to relate this theme
of procrastination to the people we feature in our
music video.

Actors
Students- We thought of the idea of including

students from school in our video as they can relate to

the themes from the song (having a lot of work to do,
too many distractions, no time to do it).
Mr Mudie- We came up with the idea of using Mr
Mudie as an actor and for a performance aspect. This
is because he is very similar to our artist Dave is that
he writes humorous songs and plays acoustic guitar so
we felt like he could fit in well.

Location
From looking at the lyrics of the song we feel that most

of the shots for our music video will take place in a

home environment since the lyrics talk about things
like showers, beds, kettles and watching movies.
However, since we are thinking of using students and
teachers in our video we may decide to shoot some
parts of our video in a school environment.
