LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
To whom it may concern,
It is my great honor to provide this recommendation letter for Mr. Pham Cong Son to the
Bachelors Degree Program in International Business at your university. After being his form
teacher for three years, I contend that this person is an exemplary student with good
attentiveness, a strong determination, and passion for learning.
At first, Son came to my attention as a somewhat reserved pupil. He was a man of few
words as well. However, until the middle of the semester, when I was in charge of his team to
work on a mathematical project, he surprised me with insightful traits. Sons team attempted to
do research on a combinatorics issue, which touched on a totally unique topic of high
practicality. With my advice, they explored the problem, expanded the complexity and applied in
practical issues. In addition, Sons leadership helped him organize the team and divide work
properly. Consequently, Sons team won the first prize of their presentation, intriguing many
foreign mathematicians. This achievement made me really astonished at his intelligence,
leadership and high degree of application.
Another thing that impresses me about Mr. Cong Son is his talent for leadership and
performance. In the mid autumn festival, Sons drama team represented my class for the
contest throughout the entire school. From my observation, he not only was responsible but also
made an ideal collaboration with other pupils. Although the content of the drama was a clich
fairy tale, he convoked many friends, discussed with them to improve the content. The Drama
played by Sons group made almost all students and teachers so moved and amusing. Besides
successfully conveying the divine message of love and justice, they added several controversial
issues of the modern day such as the Ebola outbreak and the infamous MH17 airplane in an
entertaining way. For such a great effort, Sons team won the first prize for the most outstanding
drama performance.
With his diligence, creativity, leadership and patience, I am wholeheartedly convinced
that Son possesses all the caliber of student you are seeking for and will become a great asset to
your country and my homeland. Your acceptance along with financial aid will definitely enable
Son to dig deeper into his field.
