5.SupplierRiskTakesCenterStage
ThismaybetheyearcompaniesgetseriousaboutmanagingtheirITsupplierrisk."Asendcustomersbecomemore
awareofacompany'ssupplychain,thebrandriskthatcomeswithasupplierfailuregoupdramatically,"saysChristine
FerrusiRoss,seniorvicepresidentwithoffshoringconsultancyNeoGroup."In2015,companieswillbegintoreally
integratesupplierriskintotheirdailyoperations,movingfromquarterlymeetingriskdiscussionstomakingkeybusiness

THECRITICALPATHANALYSISPROCESS
CPAinvolvesdrawinganetworkdiagramthatindicatestheshortestpossibletimeinwhichaprojectcanbecompleted.The
activitiesthatmustbecompletedtoachievethisshortesttimemakeupwhatisknownasthecriticalpath.Theprocessofusing
CPAinvolvesthefollowingsteps:
1Identifytheobjectiveoftheproject,e.g.buildingafactoryinsixweeks.
2Putthetasksthatmakeuptheprojectintotherightsequenceanddrawanetworkdiagram.
3Addthedurationsofeachoftheactivities.
