Poultry, Cable and Export oriented companies fall under investor radar
Selective interest was evident on Poultry, Cable and export oriented counters. Ceylon Grain
Elevators (GRAN) rose 15.4% WoW to close at LKR 110.70 while ACL Cables rose 11.1% WoW
to close at LKR 126.80 . The market also witnessed positive investor sentiment on export

of which TESS and REXP emerged as top gainers, recording gains of 12.5% and 12.0% respectively. Speculative buying was also evident on low tier, illiquid stocks in the likes of Hayleys
Fiber PLC (HEXP), which emerged as the top weekly price gainer, giving a sharp return of
53.9% to close at LKR 69.10. Mixed interest was evident towards blue chip counters.
