1935
A history of success.
Every champion has a story. And the Deutz-Fahr story dates back more
than a century. Right from the start, the company showed character and
determination: in 1927 it became one of the first companies in the world
to mass produce diesel-engined tractors, asserting a firm belief that
the mechanisation of agriculture could play a key role in improving the
wellbeing of farmers and society in general. From this moment on, the
company dedicated itself to the pursuit of advanced technology capable
of improving the productivity of the farmer.
In 1936 the company attained another milestone with the launch of the
Deutz 11 series, tractors which completely changed the face of farming.
Further successes followed: in 1948 introduction of the air-cooled diesel
engines, in 1958, the first hydraulic hitch lifting and in 1972, the Intrac
system. In 1990, Deutz-Fahr introduced a whole new concept of cab
design with the first open view tractor. This was followed in 1995 by
the launch of the Agrotron, a range that redefined the very concept of the
farm tractor with its spacious panoramic cab and, just one year later, the
first suspended front axle. In 2001, Deutz-Fahr technological innovation
reached yet another milestone with the launch of the Agrotron TTV: the
first tractor to be equipped with a continuously variable transmission.

But the excellence of Deutz-Fahr products is not limited to just tractors;

the company also specializes in the manufacture of combine harvesters.
As far back as 1955, Deutz-Fahr presented its first self-propelled combine
harvester. This was followed in 1991 by the first Topliner and, in 1993, by
the launch of the Powerpress 120 H, the worlds first self-propelled highdensity baling press. 1998 saw the launch of the Topliner 8XL, the first
combine with 8 straw-walkers and the largest straw-walker machine in
the world.
Without question, Deutz-Fahr is a brand that invests heavily in
technology, but it never loses sight of its primary goal: to supply the
farmer with advanced, reliable machines make his work easier and
maximise production efficiency.
Many years have passed since the very first mass produced tractors,
but the Deutz-Fahr name still today fires the imagination of farmers all
over the world. Recently the company received further recognition for
the excellence of its products: The Deutz-Fahr Series 7 has been voted
Tractor of the Year for 2013.

characterized by excellent specification flexibility.
Incorporated within the Series 5 C are the individual
features that distinguish the 5 Series, namely
dimensions, advanced level of technical features,
high quality materials and superior comfort.
LS and GS versions are characterized mainly by the
presence of a synchronized mechanical shuttle in the
LS, and an electro-hydraulic PowerShuttle in the GS.
