Training Syllabus The primary objective of Parkers Dash 8 Series 400 Flight Controls, Fuel, and Hydraulic Systems training is to provide the customers with the necessary information on system familiarization, including primary sub-system functions, as well as, the characteristics of the system components, including normal maintenance features and fault isolation procedures. In the training manuals, we include a general description of a particular segment and/or function within the system, and the associated components. The training defines its purpose and operational characteristics during both ground and flight operations. The training includes the systems associated flight deck controls and displays, the location of each system component on the aircraft, and unique characteristics and/or function associated with each. Each individual training module includes the appropriate: detailed figures showing a cross-sectioned view (cut away) of the component; installation configuration of all major components; and a system overview of each major subsystem including schematics, wiring- and functional-diagrams. The training also includes fault isolation training based on actual on-aircraft procedures and system fault logic. The training consists of typical examples of anticipated types of system faults and potential failure modes. These fault isolation training techniques isolate such faults by tracing the fault from its initial aircraft fault/alert annunciation, identifying all probable/potential causes, with associated discriminators, and identify the-most-likely to the-lease-likely cause.
