Step 5: Find full-text

Homepage

Overview
Access method: IP address recognition (i.e. a computer physically or virtually inside
the School), or click on Sign in and choose Sign in via Shibboleth (use your LSHTM
username and password).
Subject coverage: all subjects covered. A list of subjects can be found on the Taylor
& Francis Online homepage.
Article access icons: green box or green Full access box full-text access, half
white/half green box some full-text access, white box or blue Access options box
no full-text access, green Open access box Open Access content.

Searching
Browse by subject: click on a subject to get an alphabetical list of resources available.
You can then filter by publication type and narrower subject headings. Each page has
a Subject News link which will inform you about free articles, special issues and other
items of interest.
Search all content: enter keywords into search box.

Advanced and citation search: select Journals and Reference works. There are
various search options here including article search, author, keywords, DOI, ISSN,

abstract, keywords, dates, and imprints. Results can be limited to only show content
that you have full-text access to.
Register with Taylor & Francis Online to save searches and search history. To create
an account, click on Register.

Journal information
Taylor & Francis Online journal pages contain the following information aims and
scope, editorial board, abstracting and indexing, impact factor, most read articles, most
cited articles, and how to submit an article. There are also options for sharing the
page, and setting up TOC alerts (email and RSS feed).

Open Access
Details on Taylor & Franciss OA publishing can be found by clicking on the Open
access tab. From here you can view lists of either fully OA journals or hybrid OA
journals (known as Open Select).

Keeping up-to-date
Alerts: email alerts can be set up for subjects and for new journal content. RSS feeds
can be set up for journal TOCs. You will need to be registered with Taylor & Francis
Online to do this.
Social media: follow @tandfonline on Twitter. In addition, Taylor & Francis can be
found on Facebook and connected with on LinkedIn.

Help
At the bottom of every page there is a Help & Information section. FAQs is
particularly useful as it covers access problems, registering for an account, viewing
content, and setting up alerts. Clicking on Contact us will take you to a page
containing further help options and an online form which you can then submit to Taylor
& Francis.
